Woo go Lalafell Warriors!

Gilgamesh MRD here. Can't wait till EA so I can unlock WAR! I like the way MRD feels right now and the way WAR tanks with the high HP and the abilities to help restore HP. Also have been a sword and board tank in many a MMO so a nice change felt in order. Are more people going to stack STR now that most of our self heals to include 2nd wind from pug is not scaling with HP?

Personally, I like playing Warrior because of the rate of damage is higher and faster. Loving it so far, cheers.

I'm definitely going full manmode WAR. Chomping away. I played WAR in XI and it was extremely fun, hard hitting and versatile. I just hope people keep an open mind with WAR cause the way it's designed it can do huge damage (AoE really well too) while having a beastly HP pool for tanking. I also like that we get access to both the tank (WAR/PLD) gear and the Disc. of War gear so we can have more gearset versatility going then other melee classes.

It's gonna be a good time. :D

MMO-Veteran Tank rolling Warrior on Diabolos. Why Warrior, you might ask? Because everything I've seen and heard points to it being the harder to master of the two. Add in the fact that the majority of the tanks in my guild are rolling Paladin and I'm sick of using a Shield, and I'm ready to crush my enemies and see them driven before me! You could also note the loveliness of hearing the lamentations of their women, but have you ever tried to bed a female Sahagin? *shudders*

Greetings all! Going Lalafel Paladin on Behemoth! That I am! Though directly after that I intend to work up Warrior. In the long run I think I will likely end up Warrior though. So quite interested in both classes!

I always like giant axe class and tanking, I start my life in Eorzea 3 years ago as Marauder♪.
Now WAR is very fun to play<3

I like both WAR and PLD, I play both but my fav is WAR, actually I like all classes but I have most fun time with WAR (*´∀`*).
Discussion about pros/cons between WAR/PLD is GOOD thing but trash talking is BAD.
If you like WAR, play WAR. If you like PLD, play PLD. It should be like that~(´・ω・`)

Exceptional tanking takes form via the mastery of various tanking roles. While my main is Paladin, Warrior is an essential tanking role for various circumstances. I like the idea of being able to look at a giant beast of an enemy right in the eyes, growl just as ferociously, then plant my axe firmly into their face.

Plus I always liked the idea of tanking with a giant 2 handed weapon :D

MRD heading toward WAR on Gilgamesh. Because bloody, ferocious brutality is the best way to get anything done.

Hyperion WAR. Because you just can't beat the intensity of dominating everything as a six and a half foot hairy-chested berserking machine with a six foot axe.

Looking for an answer to a question i have about when you change to the warrior job. Does the Tank role stay as you change to warrior or do you become a dps, or could it be changed to dps?

You can take off the soul stone and just be a straight up damage dealer.. but you are missing out on defiance and wrath stacks. Honestly for endgame it's not such a great idea, but for solo it's all good. It's always going to be a Tank specialty even as Marauder. This could change though, if some how they eventually let Marauder change stances from Tank to Damage Dealer, but nothing has been said on the matter so far.

It has all of the MRD abilities, and it will draw extra abilities from PGL, and GLD.

I have a question, though, I read somewhere that for Jobs the amount of cross-class skills you can slot is cut in half compared to what a Class has, is this true?

Yes, this is true.

The reason Classes draw 10 abilities from other classes but the Job only draws 5 is because Jobs already have 5 abilities of their own. When a MRD turns into a WAR, he will gain 5 more abilities.

MRDs and WARs are both tanks.

Greetings fellow axe men, I choose warrior/MRD because as a madman there was only one weapon to chose... a big giant axe. It is our duty to aoe mobs and take blows to the head only for us to hit the enemy and gain all of it back while protecting lesser men from the horrors of combat that we laugh at.

MRD is so much fun setting up numerous enemies and then with blood bath and overpower setting up massive aoe healing. I love the combat style too, we basically fight as recklessly as possible and get rewarded for it, and the more frenzied we become the stronger and more durable we become. I've heard from healers that we aren't hard to heal for and I've been told from the instances I've played so far, I'm not a bad tank.

Hey all! Maining a SCH, but secondary is definitely gonna be WAR. Played MRD all through B3 and loved it. As a future healer, it brings a tear of joy to my eye when I see a MRD run in with overpower AND flash :P

All you Leviathan tank mains keep an eye out for me for some rad heals!

Why Warrior?
1)WAR is pure aggression, I like its style, there nothing fancy or sly about how you play war. Take your axe and crush anything and everything in your way, rend its flesh from its bones and leave it naught but a bloody mess beneath your boot!
2)It takes guts to play WAR, it's a class designed to take a beating from multiple enemies at once. unlike those other jobs who run from just one. It takes someone special to tank 6 mobs at once and be the one who walks out of the fray alive!
3) WAR is just plain fun to play, no further explanation needed there.
4) WAR seamlessly actualizes its potential better then any job, being able to chain, damage boost, enemy slashing dmg -, and hp restoration through damage while getting a TON of hate, in an endless devastating cycle is poetry in motion.
5) Because PIRATES!!
