Who says you can't be both scientific AND artistic? It's not necessarily a one or the other type thing. I draw and I'm a physicist.

You should really read a book called 'drawing on the right side of the brain'. It has a really scientific (mostly in the psych field though, if that's considered a science, I'm not sure) approach to drawing things.

"Drawing on the right side of the brain" is a really good book. I can only recommend it. Other than that try James Gurney's "Colour and Light" or Andrew Loomis' "Figure Drawing". :)

This one is really really old, with a running gag from my LS that not even my LS understands anymore, I guess. :P
But it's the only thing I've got, so run and hide or burn your eyes. >: D
