Sweet! I have nothing against RP, it doesn't bother me at all. I just don't think I'd partake in it. I don't think anyone should feel deterred to play on a server because of that, and I think the variety will make it more fun :cool:

I transferred from rag since all my friends were already here. Didn't even realize this was a unoffical RP server until i started reading people talk about it in game. It's all good I probably won't participate but it will certainly make the server more interesting to me

Heya! Yeah. FFXIV's Unnoficial RP server has been Balmung since 1.0. Majority of the RPers are also heavy into their endgame and prioritise the game first. It's kinda cool, actually, as there's been this great little balance between RPers and non-RPers that you don't normally see in MMO's. During 1.0, at least, the RPers never really caused problems from those dedicated to the game itself, and those dedicated to the game itself never really had problems with the RPers. I think it's why I like and wanna stick with Balmung so much. :D

As an RPer I want to say thank you for saying this. I think RPers get a bad rep because people think that we're only there for one or two things. This community isn't like that at all. We supplement our playing of the game with RP, but for a lot of us, it's still about the game~

Hello Balmung ! again like some other people here i rolled on this server to be with friends (that did not know it was unofficial rp server) has they are non-rpers they were thinking of moving NOT cause they have something against rpers but mostly due to economies , group and other bad experience they got in the past with rp server , i still hope that both can live in harmony cause personally i love rp !! and don't wanna be alone Q_Q cause my manly friend don't wanna stay and i am looking forward to see how the server will work this out !

Yay for Balmung! To think it's been like 9 months since the community has been separated from the game. As someone in my linkshell pointed out, that means an entire baby was conceived AND born since the servers went down >.>

To those concerned about this being an unofficial RP server...don't be. RP servers tend to have the most helpful and dynamic society and while I won't say everyones a perfect angel, I've never experienced the horror stories of other servers. If you see RP occuring, you can either join in (it isn't hard, just don't try too hard) or just walk away and let them be. Trolling and shouting "RP SUCKS YOU NERDS" is unnecessary. Don't like it? Don't participate and walk away. Otherwise, it brings a level of immersion and depth and community (gasp) to the world of Eorzea. So no worries ^^

Will be nice to go home, granted I am sadly not a Legacy player, I played on Balmung throughout my stay as a Beta Tester (Phases 3&4) I was one of those hit by 3102 during phase 4 so ended up playing on kajuta for a time. Can't wait to get back into the swing of things.

Hello Balmung!

I previously played on and off in 1.0 on the server Cornelia and Durandal. I've heard so many positive things about this community and I hope to add to this server's great reputation!
