Pizza orders inexplicably rose 10% on Saturday, more information pending...

I was planning on ordering pizza tonight anyways...but yeah, can't wait :D

We should post the dev's some pizza pics and entice them to release more information.. Pizza does sound good tonight I know what will be doing for dinner on beta and release day :P

Wow, Pizza in the states is like a norm for us, but I couldn't imagine in Japan how fantastic it must taste if you can't have pizza as much. :O Makes me wonder, what about mexican food? Is that expensive there too?

If you are talking about the other recent blog post, I don't think that is the PS3 he was playing on. Maybe in this picture, but in that other picture, there was a Micro-menu to the bottom right. In the PS3 UI, the micro menu isn't visible, but instead, it looks like it appears on an overhead layer in the middle of the screen, kinda like how pressing the "home" button on a PS3 is. That is the PS3's version of the micro menu.

There is no right or wrong answer here though, not until we know for sure, but from all that we can gather, that would be my most intelligent guess.

The other Pic they said can you guess what he is holding on his hand? this pic show him playing on the PS3 it pretty much putting two things together so i'll guess he was playing PS3 on both pic.

I think the live letter or w/e he doing would be show off the PS3 Version it would make the most sense.

Those puffy armguards, can't be mistaken, he's playing a roegadame. I want to play too, Yoshi-P!

I can't imagine Mexican food in Japan being very good. The farther you get from Mexico (or southwest US for tex-mex), the worse it gets. Even in Colorado, good Mexican food is hard to find.

The resolution is a pretty dead giveaway the other version wasn't PS3 at all. I wouldn't bet money on it though, as you need 3rd party programs to even get the ps3 controller connected to a PC.

PS3 can't handle that screen resolution that they showed in the previous pic. He was holding a controller, yeah, but that couldn't have been a PS3.

That is true, people who enjoy what they do will go into work when every they are required, the pizza is just the topping on the cake. People who complain at their jobs, people who can't wait for the weekend don't like what they do.

Look at Yoshi-P, he likes what he is doing, he chooses to work long hours to make the game a success, he chooses to do all this because he enjoys what he does.

It's on a TV which would support max res of 1080P because it's not a 4k res TV I can tell you that, PS3 supports max res of 1080P though most games are not native at 1080P it can and does have games that are. So where is this PS3 cannot support that resolution coming from? Also I highly doubt they would use the flaky motion joy software to test the PC version with a PS3 controller <.<

on a side note other arguments about not having the same UI layout and stuff could be valid or it will have options in layout for using keyboad/mouse on PS3 which would make sense to have the options there.

I don't really care too much if it's the PS3 version or not because I will keep playing on PC either way I just think it's kinda odd the arguments people are giving trying to prove it's definitely not the PS3 version, really why would they try to make it look like it was? there is no benefit to them.

Mexican food in Japan is quite rare, and not very good IMO.

I can only think of El Torito which has a few locations, and maybe Zest which is a tex-mex sort of pub. No Taco Bell or any other major Mexican food chains. =(

Situations are changing a bit now, but working on Saturdays and sometimes Sundays in Japan is still pretty common.

That is the PC using the GamePad UI. You can see the mouse icon on the screen. The PS3 version has already been confirmed to not be running in true 720p or 1080p. I believe Yoshi said it was in the realm of the 520s and it will need to be stretched. I believe that poster meant that the quality in that screen is high compared to what it will be on PS3.

Just look at the picture on the OP. You can see quite a difference in the LOD.

that makes more sense, I was mainly concerned the arguments made no sense, as I stated before I don't plan to play on PS3 anyway, and a res that low would be another reason...

It would be like playing ffxi on PS2 <.< vs PC, I was hoping it would be less drastic for PS3. I only hope we don't start getting limitations of the PS3 excuses on everything...

It is certainly the controller UI for PC. It don't have the memory saving features like the PS3 version. Like the inventory dots in the right lower corner. They aren't in the PS3 UI as dots, only as numbers.

They said that any limitation would stay on PS3 users. They want to release DX11 few month from release and keep on adding. So really in about 1-2years PS3 would be use for casual play not if they could find a way to go around limitation for it. Or if everyone switch over to PS4 lol

good to hear, I really did not want this to go to the way of FFXI having no graphical upgrades ever except user registry mods to make it look smoother. Also dx11 nice to hear that as well.

I hope its not every weekend. Some of these guys have wives and kids. The wives in Japan are very stressed from looking after kids during weekdays and normally look forward to weekends where the husbands could take their turn to 'take care' of the kids. The kids also look forward to the weekend where they could play ball or go Disneyland as a family.

Overtime once in a while to get things is ok, but not too many times.

The best pizzala pizza is the one with Zuwai king crab in cream sauce! Yummy!

Yeah there is such pizza! It was voted the best (take out) pizza amongst the various pizza chains in a recent Japanese TV programme.

While I don't really plan to play on PS3, I'm looking forward to seeing how it is. I played FFXI on PS2 (:() until it came out on Xbox360 and then I played that until I finally got a PC. I'm optimistic that it will be pretty good. I think I saw posts on here somewhere about PS4 coming out at the end of the year - is there any truth in that? Do you think they're already working on a version of XIV for it?

On a side note, while those pizzas sound very interesting if they're that expensive it's too bad people can't just go get some $5 hot-n-readys from Little Caesars ;) While not the ~best~ pizza, it's the best party pizza!
