1.0 Buddy pass works for ARR?

Fair enough, I forgot that 4th phase beta was going to be open. About the forgotten info, I'm pretty sure he could do that if he was genuinely interested. Again, i just thought it would be a nice gesture on SE's part to have buddy passes/free trials in some fashion at ARR's launch, a kind of gesture of good faith. "We have rebuilt the game, please come see for free how much has changed. The first hit is free kiddies!" just like a drug dealer, they get you hooked then show you the bill.

If somebody was using a buddy pass in 1.0 do they need a new registration code in 2.0?

Mine was a buddy pass and it is now seen as a normal account.

EDIT: There's also nothing in my Account Centre thingie saying otherwise

Will you be able to use digital upgrade on your account? I have a similar situation. For some reason when I got my collectors edition I decided to use my buddy pass and not my main code.

Yeah, that's why I have to use the Digital Upgrade Service too.
I chose that way, because I wanted the physical goodies and a hardcopy of the game. (Just in case. My internet isn't that fast...)
