Shiva model!

I'm really liking the... "nobleness" of her face. Shiva's an Ice Queen after all, and imho this version suits her really well.
Oh, she's got a crown this time, too!

Imo there is nothing 'icey' about this Shiva and this comes as a great disappointment to me.
Yes it's a pretty woman but nothing divine, diva, frost, ice etc. about it.
She has big boobs, pretty face and skimpy outfit... could be a character from TERA.
You can do better than this SE!

You're being too critical too soon. If this were the final version, then I'd be very disappointed but I think it has a long way to go before it's even close to looking as it would ingame. They just wanted to show us what they're working on. With the proper colors and modeling retouching, it won't really look anything like what you see now.

Yay, let's judge a WIP model with placeholder textures on it for not being icey!
Sure they can do better! It's not done for god's sake! Everybody's been asking them to let us peek their work in progress, and they let us peek a WORK IN PROGRESS.

Actually Ein I think they released to see our critique while they still have time to tweak. This isn't the final version because we want changes lol

lol i gave the same opinion too, but at least i acknowledge about ZBrush thinggie, it was mention, but really bad of Ferne of not explaining it properly :P

Anywho, not divine enough is a bit hard when i see some "diva-divine" like in her model... :D matter of opinion i suppose.

Yeah, but as far as I can see people are pretty picky on these forums. Will bitch about the least little thing and be as critical as if they were a stockholder. I don't think we need any contrast. Good to see people agree once in a while.

Still...that Shiva is like a sketch. Maybe it's like Hiir says and they just want to see what we think of the design before they go and finalize it. In that case, they likely know now that we want her looking regal, icey and blue.

My guess is the final version will have a heavy ice/frost effect that effectively makes her look more like the Shiva everyone is expecting.

Psshht~ I could say not finished but they already did:) However I totally hear you, when I saw it I was like, "Damn, I think my TERA Castanic has a outfit like that... but all in all Great job SE, she looks amazing! And let's face it, she been in a lot smaller outfits, it's like they dressed her up some, while managing to make a new heart throb pretty face to the game in the form of a Elvaan dominatrix. I can settle with this ;)

Well maybe she will change.. but I don't think its just her skin... her face is wrong and shes not tall and slender enough. This model looks like a slightly taller pixie and should be more elven like... in my opinion.

they didn't *mean to show us* ANYTHING, or care about our opinion about it; why should they? they didnt ask us about anything else regarding their design of anything.
It's leaked pics of unfinished model; nothing more, nothing less.

I think a problem is the fact that these screenshots are of the Zbrush (3D program) model. It's not a good representation of the final character texture, because zbrush places the Real textures on "top" of a Base material. In this instance, it is some kinda clay, which is why the model seems too "warm" to be Shiva. Her blue skin texture is on top of a Clay (Warm earthy color) material that fools us into thinking what we see are the final color choices ... but this IS the final model, and final textures ... but not a good render representation of color, just of the model.

I think You are too optimistic. Yoshi doesn't allow any new information, material, to be shown unless he feels pretty good at what he is showing. I think this is the "almost" final Shiva. They might tweak some things, but it will not be that much. I'm pretty sure.

As far as the other primals go, their ingame models look exactly like the concept artwork more or less. This Shiva? She really doesn't look like it just yet (of course). So much is missing. From ZBrush to the actual form used, it will definitely be different.

If I had to venture a guess why her skin is more normal color than blue, I would say for contrast. If her skin was blue, she would lose definition and just be a giant blue shape. By have a pale skin color, it makes her clothing stand out and her form more defined. Her hair has blue steaks and soft colors as well, they would lessen the ability stand out if her skin was blue. I mean, look at her hair, they spent A LOT of time on it. Just my speculation though.

We had "Broken Angel" for Garuda, "Good King Mog" for Moogle, and "Primal Judgement" for Ifrit, what will we have now !?
