MODs: Cannot Log into Forum Because of Inactivity in FFXIV 1.0

Really, that's all these forums are good for now lol. It's not like we can give any more suggestions for 1.0 and such, which is what these forums were designed for.

No, my friend last login was during the last event so some time before the Nov 11th. You should know in a few days if you're affected.

This is my only FF fix I check it every day. The last time logged was for the final event I will hate it if I get booted.

I see Meatdawg has the problem as well. He posted on the blog. He was talking about that he last logged in on the day of the March. This march was November the 9th, at 10 PM EST.

Well we are still not sure if all these people kicked from the forum has an end date of march 31, 2013 on their ff14 service account. If not, then most of us shouldn't have to worry about anything. If so, then we will all slowly begin to vanish and the forum will whither away...

Subscription end date isn't the same as game inactivity. I paid a subscription to get legacy and didn't play the game for a few months. When I tried to log into the forum I got this error. What I had to do to get back into the forum was login to the game with my character. After a few days I was able to log back into the forum. However, since the game is down you cannot make your character active anymore.

This feature was to make sure that people posting on the forum were actually playing the game.

Yes but the reps said that the forum is working under a different system now. So I'm assuming it's working under subscription date otherwise what would be the point of adding an end date so far from september 2012... They also mentioned that everyone who had that end date would access to this forum, which also draws me to that conclusion...

I'm being very technical so I probably don't explain it well. There's two things that require you to be able to post on these forums.

1. Valid Subscription: This SE fixed.
2. In game character activity: This SE forgot.

If you read the rep response they don't talk about character activity.

Ah I see. I forgot we need an active account to use the forum and the lodestone. I guess them forgetting about in game character activity makes sense or it could be that they plan to get all of us to migrate to the beta forum so they can get more responses about the game...

So, are we all going to get knocked off within the next few days outside of the people that actually logged back into the game after the servers came up?

I wonder if I can get to the 3000 mark before I'm kicked without simply spamming it.

All people with this issue identified their last login was before Nov 11. I haven't seen anyone who reported this issue who logged into the game when the servers came back up. Correction: Sasori Hisashi actually said he logged in before the servers went down for good, however he also said he had issues before.

I think what is happening is the closing of this forem. Beta Testing Forum will open next month. The new ARR forum is linked to the new ARR site. It is just a baby right now, with no players, but it's there. No point in having this old forum I guess. Though I hope it last until they open the Beta Testers Forum.

They still need to keep the posts here as an archive, although maybe they don't actually need to keep it open. They could just keep the forum closed and in that case we don't really need to log in to it. I am interested in what you meant by the "new ARR forum" being available unless you meant that you think they plan to keep a ARR forum with ARR and no actual ARR forum is open yet.

Last I knew SE haven't decided to close this forum. I would expect an official notice instead of a slow death of the forum.

After November 1, 2012, the Lodestone will no longer reflect updated character data; however, after everything is transferred over to the A Realm Reborn Lodestone, you will be able to log into the current version of Lodestone and use features such as the player blog for a period of time. • Currently no plans to change the URL for LS forums or archived journals

• When it is no longer possible to log into Lodestone, it will also no longer be possible to edit or delete your page.
• The authority settings for LS forums will remain as they are from the final data maintenance. With that said, any new members added after ARR begins will only be able to view public threads.

I know the Lodestone doesn't just mean the forums but I'm sure that they're related to a certain degree here.

Honestly I hope everyone eventually gets locked out... this forum would actually get peace for once.

Most threads are useless anyway. I'm sure the devs aren't going to care for feedback until the beta actually starts.

Alright, after I was kicked out this forum. I checked my account and there was no "End Date." That's why I got the error message. Now, it says March 31, 2013.
