Kan-E-Senna and Merlwyb had to make sure Raubahn didn't go all Leonidus on the Garlean's asses cos it would be too easy for us, that's why they are all stood back there. We need some challenge after all.

I haven't made a sig for 14 yet. I do still have my very very old one from the era of 75 cap in 11 though!

I think some of them are kind of strange to be honest. Many aren't related to FFXIV at all or show promotional work for 2.0. Neither make sense to me since everyone knows about 2.0 and most of us have seen the nice cinematic, and some signatures just make me wonder why in the world someone would attach themselves to something like that, but I understand sigs mean something different to everyone.

I think signatures are mostly a way for people to display their uniqueness. It doesn't have to be informative or even related to the game at all. It is what it is; a form of showing yourself off in a way. JP's probably don't do it as much because culturally trying to be a unique and beautiful flower is a less admirable trait for them overall.

Oh and if your phone tarrif has a data limit, just wow, this is the 21st century. If you see the resize your net is too slow. Oh and I remember when the forums didn't resize sigs, people tried to get the biggest pics they could, they looked a lot worse than mine does.

Well yeah, but only to a degree. Like I keep seeing some on here with a cat playing in their sig. It's clearly not related to FFXIV at all, but it doesn't make me think they should remove it and replace it with something related. In that same way, if you were to use one of those other sigs, it wouldn't make me furrow my brows.Maybe you just wanted to show that you play such and such other game.

I see a popular trend is to have your jobs, nation, etc. there. When it gets to be like that, it's just redundant to me.

So overall, to each his own? If it works for you do it. You may be surprised to see that people notice sigs and if it's not related to this game you may have some other game/thing in common with another player. That's mostly what I mean.

For those who can't be bothered with sigs, there's a setting that turns them off. o.o

Most people in the US have limits. Telecom has an unreasonable chokehold on everything. It's funny having 4G on your phone but only being able to use its full power for a short while otherwise you're over the limit.

I try to keep mine smaller now, but I deal with unsightly and large signatures by adblock plusing them.

Also if you use the mobile site there is no resizing (but they can seem a lot longer)

Serious... US don't have unlimited data? I really don't see the point of LTE with any limits, lemme see if I can find one of my data usage screens.

Some in the US do - but they have regular speeds up to like 2 gigs [whatever they were signed into] but then they get throttled afterwards.

Verizon is probably the funniest because their CEO openly states "There is no demand for unlimited data in the US markets".

They claim they will run out of bandwidth and all sorts of other garbage, untrue statements just so they can get higher dividends at the end of the day.

Simultaneously, they won't allow you to get wifi only phones and all basic phones are terrible. It's just a scheme to get people to part with a huge, often unnecessary amount of their money each month. It's sort of like how text messaging is/was $10 /MB - completely unreasonable.

I just got a smart phone this year because I've been traveling everywhere, a little bit ahead of when I'm required to have a smartphone [and a pda and laptop /cry] for school.

The most I've ever used in a cycle is 500 MB. I know if I did anything on it at all I would blow through my cap in a few minutes. =s I just have to prepare for trips and what I would like to have on my phone before I go [with my slow 300kb/s home download=( ]

Your best bet is to look for a graphic designer forum of sorts with a signature request area. I used to make signatures on demand, but I generally don't have that kind of free time anymore.

But there is always someone willing to get some practice if your request sparks their imagination.

I supposedly have an unlimited 4G LTE plan with AT&T, but my DL speeds get halved after I go over 5 GB in a 30 day billing cycle. In addition, while my phone (a Nokia Lumia 900) supports internet sharing (it can double as an LTE hotspot), I'm told I can't use it as such with an unlimited plan. Go figure.
