Is your avatar getting a makeover in 2.0?

I'll be mostly the same. Perhaps tweaking the hair to give it more highlights. And perhaps playing around with tail length. But I modeled my char after my r/l cat so won't change the overall colour scheme.

Staying a lalafell, but if anything could convince me to change it would be this lovely lady. Name would have to change as well, to something down the lines of Brotilda Bromide.

I'm probably not going to change much about Tyger. I'm probably going to tweak her hair colour a bit. Maybe change her boob size (but probably not). Anything else will greatly depend on what the new choices are. All-in-all, it won't be anything drastic.

I'll probably stay Lalafell, just as long as I can make him taller :3 I think the bigger problem for me is what class/job do I want to use as my main?

Lin's going to age a bit.

Scars if I can find good looking ones. Taller, more filled bust and her hair will likely get longer.

Overall I want to show that her fighting to survive Dalamud and her time in limbo has taken its toll on her.
She'll be stronger, might even roll her as a Female Highlander if I can't get my desired results from Midlander, but over all she'll still look like Lin. Just toughened up.

I am kind of shocked how many people are going male miqote from other races. As if that's what we need....most populations are already 90% miqote...now it's going to be worse, lol.

i might be changing to female hyur or just give myself a darker hair color.

I'm pretty shocked at how many people are planning to change their char entirely...

should put a few hours into the character maker.

Well, the biggest problem with the original character creator is you couldn't see the character emotes before hand. A lot of people grew to not like their current character design simply because of the emotes. They also locked a lot of features to one of the 5 character "samples" so your chest size was dependent on the sample you chose etc.

Having more freedom to get the characteristics you really wanted means you need to tweak your current character or even start from scratch.

I'm keeping Masa the same, maybe make him look a little older or more serious, but nothing too drastic.

I'll also be creating an alternate Miqo'te Male to experience ARR as a "newman"

I am definitely changing :) Picking the race with the longest hair..hopefully hyur hehe and having dark hair with pale skin and green eyes =)

Sounds quite gothic! I love it!

Even though characters are frozen in stasis for five years' time, I would feel weird for not altering my character in even the slightest way. I'll probably do it to indicate aging or even as a result of having been at the battlegrounds in Mor Dhona when Bahamut awoke.


Beyond that, it horrifies me a little bit that some people are willing to change everything about themselves! I made a deliberate decision in choosing my character's appearance and it will stay that way until the day ARR's servers go down for good. It is a part of me. :)

Some people are ok with drasticly altering their appearances, even do so as a hobby in real life.

For me, characters are fragments of myself, and as Avatars are wont to do, they will change. Lin's story here isn't done though, so she'll continue looking similar.

But with AAR's Legacy status giving me more character lots, I'll be bringing in other characters of mine that will look quite different than they were in other games or incarnations.

I have a few characters myself that would appear in the little story i was writing in my blog. One being a male miqo'te, already have a vision of the way he should look, just hoping they have that same hairstyle. lol

I'm just really happy we can utilize an in-game barber! That alone makes me happy since I won't have to stare at the same hair for years to come~ FFXI made me really hate my Elvaan (M) pony tail ; ;

I plan on some changs for Nem depenes on whats thay have to use, but i had planed on moving to a US server but since u cant tranfers at the start i may reroll a new char with different looks

I feel the same way when playing Black Mage.

I'll remake my character completely, I'll stay midlander though if I can get a name someone's lv 26 alt has -.-;

Gonna play with the character creation a bunch, but for this main char just gonna do some small changes. Longer tail, different hair, no more marks under the eyes. Don't see many other dark miqos, so I'm hoping to stay a bit rare :P. Definitely gonna make a bunch of alts though, probably a lala and a highlander female, maybe a roe fem. The only slight problem I have with the dark skin is that it makes screenshots a bit difficult, and doesn't really contrast with armors a lot, so I MIGHT go more pale.

Definitely going with Male Miqo'te. I couldn't care less how popular it will become. I have wanted a Male Mithra since FFXI. Hell a LOT of people who picked Mithra would also have chosen a male version back then if the option was available. So you'll see a flood of Male Miqo'te because Miqo'te is already popular.

This worry is like saying "Damn, I'm not going to pick Human even though I love it the most, because it's popular".

Just pick the race you WANT to be. The hell with whoever else wants to pick it.

Barring some customization options that really catch my eye that they have not showed yet, I plan on keeping my main character essentially the same. I have used this model of Kat since the US release of FF XI, so I probably will not make any major changes. Besides, once/if they release BST as a playable job, it would feel odd for me to play it on my main character if my main did not look like Kat.

I plan on changing the mapping of the scars on my face. thats about it.

Going with male miqo'te. I kinda got annoyed by the proportions of my Elezen. I'll be checking out male Roegadyn too to see if they made any additional body styles, but if not then male miqo'te it is.

I'm not bothered that it's going to be the popular choice.
