Will you be back?

100% I will be back, unless we see what looks like a complete repeat of 1.0's Beta into release... which I doubt.

'til then, I'll be using the down-time catching up on some console gaming and working on some personal projects that I've been neglecting far too long.

100% I will be back, time is not a factor I would prefer 1 year's delay and the game succeed than it get rushed out on time and be severely broken.

I really don't care how long it takes, I'll be playing ARR when it comes out. Whether or not I stay will depend on their design choices.

Even if 2.0 sucks for some reason (which I think I can safely say.....won't happen given that they're putting soooooo much into the game now), I'd still be back, to play with all my old and new-found friends in this community! :)

I will most definitely be back! ffxi is broken, and I'm tired of saying "remember the good ol' days?" It's frustrating because you know that your home is with Final Fantasy, but you can't go back to xi because it's not the same. I'm hoping that 2.0 will become that new place where we can say "Finally home again."

I'll be there on the very first day of launch. I don't mind the wait (well, I do mind it, but nothing I can do about it) so I'll be very eager to pick the game up after that. Also, I expect most of my friends to be there, because of how we all played the game and how we are all looking forward 2.0 and ARR.

I'm skeptical. Currently i cant wait for 2.0 to be out, but then again in 5 months time i might have gotten over it. will just have to wait nd see.

There is no force on Earth, in Heaven or Hell, and in the Universe that will keep me from playing A Realm Reborn from launch.

I been around since this game started in Alpha (Off and on) I'll ride this ship even if it sinks to the seven hells!

I know people who quit at launch who are coming back for 2.0.

I know people who quit at the announcement of 2.0 who are coming back.

I know a great many people who played up until the servers went down who are definitely coming back.

It's not going to be an issue.

Had many friends decide not to play XIV about a week after launch and I didn't blame them since I was just as disappointed. While I was encouraged with the changes that the new team made, the game never really shook off many of the original problems it started with.

I'm very excited about what the new team will be able to do with a clean slate. The early screens and videos are very promising.

i hope ARR get that sense of being able to have fun and not do anything feel. you can just log in then the hours fly by like the old FFXI.

I don't care if it takes over a year, most important is they get it right. Also so glad they didn't shelve the game and I think Yoshi is doing a good job. I've never known another game company redesign a game like this, It must of cost SE a fortune. I will be back when ever it is released

We should look at it this way, the longer the down time the better the game will be. FFXIV was rushed from day one, and as a result it was sloppy, incomplete and generally a horrible game. If the game is not up until March, April...May...then so be it. That just means the dev team will have that much longer to make this a stellar game.

So long as there is beta access every once in a wile and we are given a chance to give our feedback, it wont matter how long it takes.

Nothing will keep me away. I don't care what Guild Wars 2 is doing or The Elder Scrolls online. They aren't FF, they don't have chocobos and moogles, or limit breaks and summons. They will never have the charm of a FF game and so they will never truly appeal to me.

You kidding me? 200% will be back.. I expect EVERY SINGLE PERSON to get revenge on that f'n flying lizard.

My husband and I reactivated XI in the meantime but we only did it so we can go through the story again
So we'll totally be back just waiting to see if we get into testing.

I also don't mind if it takes till march or even a little later. I just don't want them to rush the game just to please people.

Take your time Yoshi-P and make it EPIC!!!! ^_^

That's the thing, this has never been done before, the entire gaming community is watching SE to see if they can turn the game around.

Most companies just pull the plug on a release failure.

Wild moogles couldn't keep me away.

I honestly don't think I will have many friends left either when I get back. However, I'm bringing some RL friends(minions to abuse online) with me so hopefully it won't be too lonely :)

I'll be back, lets look at this "downtime" from 14 as a plus, we don't have to worry about missing anything cool while we are snowboarding :p

Coming back 100% as well. I actually appreciate a little bit of down time, especially during Winter, so I can attend to the backlog of my games :D

If I haven't given up on Versus XIII yet, I'm certainly not giving up on XIV.

But seriously. I'm quite invested in this. I will be back, and it's kinda fun. Cuz now we get to have the 'excited-anticipation-can't-wait-for-Christmas-morning' sorta feeling for the next few months, just like back when XIV was originally announced. Ya know what I mean? Looking forward to things is fun.

1000% will be back. I wish I could go into a coma and wake up when ARR is back.

yeesh. could wake up in the future where we are fighing with beavers over who has the more pure science!

If anything, I expect to see an increase in the player base. I kept my subscription going but barely ever played (once every couple of months, maybe), but I will definitely be there for ARR and I've been watching it closely. I'm sure there's plenty of others like me out there.

I don't think this forum is the best place to ask. Only people who have played recently can post, right? I don't think many people would have paid until the end and then not go on to the next version.
