Let's be realistic: What would you like as a memento from the end of the world?

I think we're getting quite enough as legacy members. It would be cool if we got a neat memento in our player houses. Maybe a lamp that looks like dalamud crashing down on eorzea? lol

I actually really like this idea, though not necessarily for a Legacy thing. It would be really nice if there were some sort of actual graphical representation of our GC rank that we could toggle.

Nice idea OP, but theres a problem.

Some people just stopped playing after the final save. It would make no sense for them to get a 'broken relic' as they didn't participate in the last events.

Also, we've already had a final save... no character information from Nov 1 through server close will be retained -- so no way to know who did what.

I think we will be fine with the Goobbue, Dalamud Horn, lower subscription fee, the 'Legacy signifier' (tattoo/badge/whatever) and all the rest of the benefits from being in 1.0.

People will always want more, including all of you that are bitching about other players wanting more. If they gave it, you would take it not turn it down. Stop the bullshit. Just enjoy the final days of 1.0 and STFU!

This is where I'm at with it. I'm happy enough getting the perks involved with being a Legacy member and having experienced the 7th Umbral story.

I would like a H-1 Vanguard mount as a memento. I wish for it to have a pilot seat so I can sit inside. Also I wish for my mount to shoot laser beams from its head so I can torch all the grass in 2.0.

Please consider this SE I would really like my personal Gundam for 2.0 so I can feel entitled.

actually I explained how to rather easily bypass this in the OP.

They can't really give anything for staying for the end of the world because it would require another save which would result in people keeping the relics that they got from under their beds.

Sure there is things they could do to remove said relics but why waste time doing that. We already have a plethora of things we are going to have in 2.0 that aren't obtainable anymore, I don't see why they need to add something else.

That's not really as hard as you think. Data can be parsed automatically, and it' VERY safe to assume that the current servers log login and logout times for every single account in the game.

SE could simply parse login times for all accounts and see who logged in during the event, and unlock the item on their account.

The system for unlocking items is already there (as we used it to unlock collectors edition stuff and whatnot). If they don't have a system to unlock the items automatically (doubtful that they don't, but let's assume for the sake of conversation), they can simply have the system mail a code to be redeemed.

All the systems required are already in place, and it doesn't require any further save.

I would love a Shattered Relic to hang on my wall in ARR... and just maybe oneday in ARR we could quest to fix it (same as regular Relic quest)...

The character morph, whatever it is, is something all the 1.0 players will get. This would be a fluff reward for those that decided to stay with the game to the very end.

A morph can be minimal (which is what i meant), though I guess most gamers would think a morph means metamorphosis.

Tirary (sp?) a month or so ago was talking about those who played through 1.0 will get a unique identifier to our characters, something we can turn on and off and it is a character visible identifier.

They said on our character.. so I just guess a tattoo, scar, glyph, glow or something. I guess it could be that ring someone linked but that competition referred to the item being obtainable in ARR and talked nothing about being exclusive. Anyway ill look for link but I forgot the topic of the thread lol

Let me keep one of these relics... which ever one I log off with, come the final hour of 1.0 life. Either way I got to do the relic quest to unlock future weapons.... no harm no foul.

I want an in-game version of the meteor survivor polo shirts given out at Gamescon for my character.

A lalafell we could pin on the wall would be nice
