Its back to 11 for me and getting my char ready for the new expansion
Back to 11 for me gonna be bored!!!
Play Mechwarrior Online, work on completing Halo 4 on legendary, Go see the Hobbit.
LOL @ 3 months, I believe you mean 6-8+.
Biohazard 6 should kill some time until something else comes along
EVE
FF7 when I can't handle EVE
GW2 and Black Ops 2.
Cry myself to sleep every night lol
Well... I think i will probably end up playing 11 again eventhough I really don't want to go back to it... but I need to get my FF fix...
OH... maybe actually finish FF13 and FF13-2 finally >.>
GW2, Dishonored, BL2, TL2, Xcom, FFXI and AC3 (and whatever else takes my fancy I suppose)
Other than that, rl stuff I guess. It's not like I play XIV at all currently anyway.
I highly doubt it will be down for very long tbh. I would still say that they are probs trying to aim for a 2012 release date. During the downtime I'll prob play some AC3/Black OPs 2 or something to pass time, I would play RE6 but I just couldn't get into it at all. If picked for Alpha/Beta then I'll play that more than likely alot. o.o
Yeah I really can't see it being down for longer than 2-3 months. 5-8 months downtime is no way IMO, Wada would have their heads. Remember when Yoshi said it would take them another year if they wanted to add the other zones like Ishgard and then saying Wada would not be happy with that during the live letter?
I bought The Last Story a while ago, had a nice discount on it so I jumped on the occasion, but I haven't had the chance to play it yet since I'm trying to squeeze FFXIV into every minute of game time I have. I guess downtime will be a good time to play it.
Assuming I get into the alpha/beta tests, that.
Assuming I don't, Assassin's Creed III and my Wii U.
The fact that none of you have said you will be playing xcom makes me seriously question the people playing this game.
Probably, since people say "It would be stupid of SE to compete XIV with XI" so unless XI's expansion is later in the year they probably want to stagger the release of ARR with the release of Adoulin, since SE seemed more to wanting people to play both rather than either/or lol.
Haha yea damn SE wanting all our moneys! >_< I still think it would be this year personally, a Beta/Alpha usually don't take so long. Also the game looks very well from all the videos tbh and I don't think there will be thatmuch to test, more than likely just alot of stress testing due to there being new servers I would think. Although I am not a developer so I wouldn't know for certain! :D
If that's what they want it's pretty stupid. :P I have friends who wants to play ARR but would never touch FFXI no matter how many expansions it gets. So S-E would just make those people wait longer and maybe risk losing them to something else. They have made people (outside this community :P) excited for ARR with the gamescom walkthrough/trailer and the TGS trailer so delaying it again, especially the PS3 version just so that it doesn't take the spotlight from the XI expansion would probably be a bad idea. Just look at Versus 13, people thought we would get to see more from it now that XIII-2 was out but nope, we're getting XIII-3! :P Don't know about others but my hype for Versus is completely gone.
Now if ARR have so many problems they need to delay it 5-8 months (hopefully not) then that is probably a good choice so that they don't release it and get massacred again because after this there is no third chance. But I have faith in Yoshi and his team.
We'll probably be playing the game in 3 months, it just won't be the release version :p
You've got to be kidding. XIV was completely bug ridden at release.
You seem to have forgotten about these:

There's some good games coming out before ARR, like Sim City and GTA5. I'll be playing those.
Assassin's Creed III, Sonic Adventure 2 (nostalgia :3), and I suppose real life.
Finally finish up the witcher, and start the witcher 2..
Borrow my bro's PS3 and replay XIII and start XIII-2..
Or more likely work, get no gaming done and discover 2.0 has been live a month lol.
I play Guild Bugs 2 and also played FFXIV at the start and GW2 had and have a lot of more bugs than XIV.
Anyways, GW2 is a good game to play it for one month or two, but no more.
On November 1st I'll make 100 more threads that ask the question, "What are you guys gonna do now?"
