Hey guys, I know it's foreign to think there is other stuff in this game than unique snowflake relics but seriously. It's a request to actually have a "legitimate chance" at militia gear instead of garbage fireworks from rank 1. That's it.

So it's selfish to want a chance at militia gear but it's not selfish to block people from seals that only start the relic quest?

And the thing is, if only the person that is #1 prov can get seals, and everyone else is going to get some fireworks, there is no point in doing hamlet.

It may not be that bad with points right now, but there have been times when hamlet didnt reach lvl2 and it was a total bust for the day. No ones going to do it if they cant get anything useful from it. Down the line hamlet defense is going to become dead content, and any player that joins after that happens will most likely never see militia gear or relics, or even do hamlet defense because no one will want to do it. its not even fun enough to go do for fireworks.

Ok i am disagreeing with you there I am on your server and have been farming my ass off to get hamlet to rank 2. That does put me in top 3 every time and lately i have been 1'st or 2nd. If you want to do a hamlet im working at getting golden bazaar to rank two for Tuseday. You could help by farming turn-in items like i am having to do, or by donating Resin to me i have enough mats to get it to rank 2 again if i had the resin.

Is it hard to get it to rank 2? Yes
Reason why? No one wants to put forth the effort to do so.

I had to dump 1.8 mil points of mats for it to hit rank 2 at Hyrstmill then had to shout in ul'dua for people to run with, while others went with there ls to benefit from my work. 2nd was also in my group and he put up 500k to get it up to rank 2.

Edit: Being 1'st sucks all I get are seals unless something drops for the group. So after my 3rd run im normally getting crap when people who are 2nd, 3rd get coins and 4-20 get gear so that's the problem i see the top 3 should get a better reward then just seals I don't need 7/3 seals that's just stupid.

1.8 Mill points for hamlet would have been about 35Mil just an FYI

and how is that any different than i have had many times i'd be 3.5-5mil turn ins to even make the top 3? that, by itself, would have made the hamlet a tier 2 all by itself.

if you are worried about not getting a secondary seal drop you can always distribute the points among a few ls members that will be running with you so they could make other positions in the hamlet. if you are already over the amount of seals needed for a hamlet YOU ARE IGNORANT for turning in enough to take the top spot. give those items to someone else to get top spot that needs seals and just keep enough to get a top 2-20 position so you can get gear.

example: you have 2 mil worth of items to turn in to make a hamlet a rank 2 you can do multiple things.
1. turn them in all yourself and get only seals
2. give some to the items to an ls mate so they can get the seals and you turn in enough to get #20.
3. give enough away that you still make top 3 for currency and have a ls mate turn in the rest.
4. split that 2 mil so 3 ls mates get #1, #2, #3 and you make top 20.

if you are going to turn in that much there's multiple ways to turn in and help yourself and your ls get what they are after.

A good fix would be taking away how much the comunity in general has an impact in this kind of events, imagine you come and play one year or two later when this content is already beat by the majority, what would happen then, this new players wont be able to get their seals to get their relic weapons or what?

Thats why the best thing they could do is not giving relevance of what other players do, instead give us reward according to the skill of the players, i mean right now you have to do a semi flawless run to get over 60k points, why not putting a minimum score to be achieved in order to get a 100% seal drop, if everyone needs 9 seals and if you have a static party of 8, well at least you need 72 succesful runs to get your 9 seals.

And would be bad ass having random spawns and some rare NM's in those runs, would make it less boring

No it makes sense if its in rank 1 the top 3 provs. can still get seal but the rest wont cause its rank 1.

You are just single minded huh? There are other items in Hamlet besides just seals! Which you cannot obtain unless it is Rank 2. Really sick of the SEALS SEALS SEALS crap, there is gear from Hamlet to collect too.

I saw what you did and I thank you. I said thanks in /say when you were there when you shouted after it turned Rank 2 but you may have missed it. What I am saying to SE is it is silly for 1 person to have to donate that many points alone just to turn it to Rank 2 like you have done since too many other people do not donate anymore. If they lowered the points or hell even just make militia drop normally in Rank 1 as one person suggested it would help. With the smaller amount of people interested if they lowered it then we'd still be able to turn it Rank 2 without 1 person doing way over their share of the work. I do have BTN and I would be happy to help you with some Resin. Need to go get some first though.

Thanks I don't really want top1 i would rather have top2, If your willing to help farm the resin i can give you some of the turn ins to get top3. My only concern about giving items of this value away is that they end up on the wards but if you can trust me with resin i can trust you ^^.

Would have helped out LS mates if i could just turns out that im the only one who needs hamlet, and some of them have given me items to get the next to rank 2, rest are getting ready for there 6th relic atm and im hoping to join them.

I think part of this issue is the atomos event. People haven't been doing caravans and farming anima items which both contribute to the overall rank. I know I haven't farmed kidney ore in over a month. I've always had 30k-40k points at aleport or golden bazaar just from turning in kidney ore for anima.

No no, you do not need to give me anything, a lot of people seem to think I need seals but I don't (which keeps creating all these people thinking I am selfish and just want easy seals or something ~.~). I am already on my relic quest. My problem is not being able to do the content and it not being Rank 2 means no one wants to do it ><. Although you disagreed with me, not really anyone else has turned in more than they needed to just to get the Hamlet to Rank 2. Since before it would turn Rank 2 automatically cause of people fighting over top 3, that is why I posted what I did. It is really cool that you worked for it and did it though!

Yea i know what you mean now that everyone want's relics and has there seals hamlets a mute point. If the rewards for hamlet were better then seals for top 3 i think we would see more turn-ins.

1-3 Get 50% chance on seals and 25% chance on good gear aka body/hat/wrist
4-20 Get 10% drop on seals and 5% coins and gear

Have to make that top spot mean something to people. Who wants to give SE 40Mil in items if all that you get are seals??
the drop rates above are examples. When i got top 2 i got seals... When a person in group that was in top 20 got the Militia Bracelets so that 10mil return on investment for him, and 0 for me but hey whatever...

Nope, im just saying to get rid of the comunity efforts in general on how they influence your own content, what if nobody is interested on hamlet defense because they already have everything they need? then what? just forget about the relic weapons then?

Seems unfair to me, im not saying to dumb down the difficulty, i dont think that doing the same content over and over again with crappy drop rates is the best way to get people interested, get rid of rank 2 stuff instead make the hamlet defense way more difficult and they should put a minimum score to get your seal and gear, the times i've done hamlet we get 62k-65k or something but is not so common getting over 65 or 66k, add some random orders, random spawning timers and very rare NM's spawning sometimes(that might add some rare gear), add more fronts where mobs attack the hamlet, etc.

Its really boring doing hamlet once you know all the spawn times and spots of key NM's dont you think so? Having more involving fights is far better with tactics and some random stuff

Instead of making a thread asking for things to be made easier, you should do something more constructive like a server thread where you connect with people who are interested in getting items with you. Then you can split the turn-ins among the people who have same interests. 3 million points isn't hard to get. Thats 30 stacks of whatever militia you want. That divided by 8 people is only 3.75 stacks. You could prob even get away with 3 per person since others outside of your group will also turn in some. Also by the image you posted earlier, it looks like noone else is bothering to craft militia items so most likely your wards have an over-abundance of cobalt and whatever for cheap. Supply and Demand. You could probably cash out pretty well off of Militia Wristlets/Bracelets/DoL Hats.

no, you just aren't intelligent enough to realize people have already addressed the other issue. they keep talking about not being able to get gear if it's not a tier 2 hamlet...... simple..... allow gear to drop from tier 1 hamlets as well. that was mentioned pages ago so i shouldn't have to keep repeating it over and over until people open their eyes and actually read what has already been said.

If anything the Speed runs have got to go :P you can get rank 2 hamlet with what like 3 stacks of hq militia items right? is not so hard of thing to accomplish with all the friends you are helpin surely they are helpin also? it takes a communtiy to protect hamlets, if u dont have a community, haha what am i sayin your community will be dead in 3 weeks. tbh this thread is just "make it easier for me plz".

Community to protect a hamlet agreed. But helping the hamlet by supplying it more defenses causes the enemy to attack harder makes little sense.

Difficulty of the hamlet should be mobile based on participation, and I think it should be regular community non instanced material. (and the useless drops of tier 1 need to gtfo lol)

what Lirion said completely sums up my feelings about Hamlet. after about 20+ runs, It's a completely draining, mundane experience. to be efficient, to get a seal, there's no variation.. no ingenuity. just players repeating the "best" practice over and over. Good luck trying an alternate strategy and getting 60k, not saying you can't but just... good luck. I've actually been avoiding the game just to not do hamlet.
