IMO I believe it has to do w/ the fact that things are very casual, very quick. You can solo to 50, you hit 50, you're main objective is just to get ur quests done for AF and then anything after that is optional... See with that there is no real grp play/coordination. Saw it often in WoW, where u can also solo to max lvl aswell. FFXI parties lasted hours lol. Granted there are pros & cons for both, LFG & partying for hours is time consuming, soloing is time-friendly but can diminish grp coordination/sense of roles.

Yves has a point though, about new players being out the clique "circle". That's one of the issues I found as I started upon endgame. The divide between the casuals & those who wanted more. Many ppl had their own "grp" and you had to find openings or make ur own. Casual gamers were left with crafting & helping others w/ quests. Granted "endgame" wasn't/isn't that awesome either, spamming dungeons/fights w/ 15min CD gets old & takes up time.
