I do agree but I you actually try to be helpful no matter what, it can be quite informative on the forums. You can expect trolls from all sides whether or not you have good intentions. On the internet, most people don't really care due to the fact "they can't see you so they don't know you". If "they don't know you, they don't owe you" kind of mentality spreads around.
If your used to that behavior then it's all in good fun I guess. No sympathy newbies or veterans alike who post their opinions and beliefs.

Ideas sound good on paper.... and then they're implemented...

I thought it was kind of easy to spot as a fake.

I actually kind of enjoyed the rest of it after I spotted the first obvious contradictory statement.

If you can imagine what it's like to be a developer reading these forums, I'm pretty sure you'd see the majority of the posts start to look like the OP. The community doesn't have one solidified voice, and not surprising. Final Fantasy doesn't have one solidified theme. No two are exactly alike and it's entertaining to see how all these different people define what a Final Fantasy title is, ranging from: "Final Fantasy VIII didn't have jobs" to "Dragoon doesn't have a wyvern? What kind of FF is this?" to "Final Fantasy I didn't have chocobos or Cid". Not only that, but to listen to their "demands" afterward.

The OP's post is a commentary on the entire Final Fantasy XIV community (at least the forum community). It's chock full of contradictory whining, self service, and very little substance, help, or constructive criticism.

The OP makes fun of people who bring nothing of substance to the forums, and he brings nothing of substance to the forums, so he's making fun of himself?

No policing. Its just a general trend that is not uncommon in all of the other sections of the forums as well. People come on here that are actually looking for information to help them play the game and have to sift through 9 out of 10 threads just to find something that is actually helpful or relevant. People always talk about how great the ff community is as a whole, but if one were to judge mainly off of these forums, it seems like its full of adolescent trolls not unlike the other mmos that everyone is so quick to flame.
