You say that and I’ve watched ENTIRE teams get wiped in alliance raids, especially these new Dawntrail ARs, especially at the encounter for Ultimate and Omega, and also at Kam'lanaut. It all comes down to knowledge of mechanics. But these newest alliance raids definitely have punishment for failing, and to say otherwise is ignorance.

But anyway, I made my point about how it’s definitely be a great crossover collab.

XIV will collab with anything but how about DS?
I've never heard of game crossover with Fromsoft games.

I’m definitely not ruling it out. Square Enix is a Japanese game company. Fromsoft is ALSO a Japanese game company. Square Enix has worked with other Japanese game companies including Nintendo and Capcom now. Both FFXIV and Dark Souls are both medieval fantasy rpgs with “dark end of the world” stories. Both incorporate us “trying to save the world” or fix it. Both has boss fight in which you NEED to know mechanics to stay alive. Both have knights and magic users and dragons and etc.

It’s the perfect duo and I’ll stand on that hill.

Yeah I’m talking about the thematic collab aspects, like bosses, armor sets and maybe as an alliance raid set.

But as for DS elements, it’s essentially not that different. Both have battle mechanics that you need to look out for to avoid getting punished, in terms of bosses. Only difference is DS doesn’t have AoE markers. But also for “difficulty,” people exaggerate it too much. It’s no different than leveling up in any other RPG game and having a “class” that you put work into. Builds in DS are essentially its equivalent to “classes” and makes game play easier by a lot, no matter what kind of build. It’s honestly annoying how much people exaggerate the difficulty. I have zero struggles and fly through everything the same in FFXIV or any other game.
