A turn based mode isn't something that I'd be interested in. FF14 has the potential for interesting content with its current real time combat system and I'd like to see more work devoted to making the most of it instead of pursuing something else entirely.
If SE can add a turn based side mode without taking away from the main game then I wouldn't mind. The problem is that a turn based rework sounds like a major task. A hybrid turn mode where the combat is real time but broken into turns for each side sounds more realistic, but I can only guess at what is within SE's reachl
