Chatting would exist in boring or exciting content.
I mean Eureka back then was full of it and spawning the bosses was far frome engaging to a point where the chatting WAS the charm point.
I also saw a shift tbh. Less hello's, insta pulling tanks without any concern for others or simply saying nothing.
The ToS has nothing to do with that because frankly, as long as you act as a decent human being, GM's won't go after you.
I think it's simply a matter of the community itself changing and experience bias.
Most people still do greet and say GG but the ones who don't stick more.
But also the community is far bigger than in the past (well the distant past) and less close knit.
Everyone seems to be in a rush, everything is on discord nowadays and the MMO social function is simply outdated.
I think times have simply changed. Everyone is in a hurry nowadays in-game as well as outside.
I hate that trend but I don't think we can change it other than simply continuing to say "hello" and so on.
