And they call the modding community toxic ~
Oh yes - because the opinions of low-energy, low-post count forum posters are with an opinion are what keep me awake at night.
Sorry - who are you? As of posting this, you 4 posts to your name. We don't know each other and most of all, you don't know me.
I’ve never pretended to be anyone I’m not. I sit on the fence and take shots at all sides when they’re being absurd, overdramatic, or far too self-serious.
The level of entitlement across these forums—from every corner—is wild. Whether it’s a troll or someone who’s turned this game into their entire personality because they haven’t managed much else in life, it’s astounding. I’d like to believe the game and its community will grow, but every new thread (mine included, even the silly ones) just reinforces the idea that no matter what changes happen, someone will never be satisfied.
And to be clear, Square Enix isn’t blameless either. They really need to drop the “Japanese-speaking devs only” mindset—they’re sleeping on an incredible pool of global talent. It’s on them to broaden their hiring, not on the community to lower expectations.
I remember that bench. I sat on that bench back when I first started playing and recently finished ARR. I was sent a tell suddenly by a group of people to "Get off the bench if I wasn't there to roleplay". I didn't move, because the entire notion sounded stupid to me. The group then proceeded to just sit in the other bench on the other side and just do a bunch of emotes. I didn't really understand at that time why I was asked to move, or why I had to move in the first place, just so a group of people could emote on and around a bench for several hours together.
If only I knew back then what I knew now.
Sorry for butting in. A new player can't buy forum posts and the respect that comes with them in MogStation. English isn't my native language, so I've only been reading since the start of the game. Now I wanted to say what I think (but it'll pass quickly).
These things with fire don't seem like funny jokes anymore. IMHO. I'm ashamed that people can do this with something that others created, that others hold dear. It's unempathetic, evil, unfunny and... cringe. Maybe it's time to let it go and move on? Or is wearing the mantle of Judge (Dredd?) and the executioner so sweet?
This is me now.

While you're at it, please also cleanse the infamous sofa in Solution 9, thank you very much.
And keep up the good work!
Your words speak too eloquently about you.
I don't need to know you personally, because literally every other message you wrote about how happy you are that others are feeling bad.
(This was in a deleted topic, I haven't seen you anywhere else since I practically don't read the forum).

"And from the thought of how bad my neighbor felt, I suddenly felt very good" - this phrase reminds me of someone very much (:
Are you offering your services on other servers? Limsa in Ragnarok needs deep cleaning.
The people getting their pants in a twist over a joke is not a shock but still sad and funny.
There are plenty other places needing sanitized, get on it!
