Arcanist has been in the game since the beginning, it has a guild, it's part of the story, and arcanist data has been added with every patch.

Yes, but it was never confirmed to be a playable class, Yoshi-P said that he might drop it. Just because it's in the game doesn't mean they're gonna use it, they could've said it was destroyed or something.

It'd be foolish if they didn't add Musketeer as well, it already has a guild and it's even part of the Limsa Lominsa storyline somewhat so SE would just be shooting themselves in the foot if they suddenly decided not to add it in.

But actually having SE confirm it is exciting none-the-less (unlike Musketeer, which is in the same situation as "basically confirmed", along with the 20+ classes .dat mined in 2010)

Agreed. I would be really disappoined in Arcanist -> Summoner mainly cuz I made such a strong speculation towards other options (I mean really yoshi GLA -> DRK make NO SENSE!) Although arcanist is free to be what ever they make it, I'd feel it would be a better decision to make a general pet class that handles taming as well as summoning. Arcanist just feels more like a mage/buffer/cc. All is not set in stone though so I guess its okay. :(

I'm just saying what Yoshi-P said, it's more important to have classes we need than classes that are in the game's lore. I mean it's not like they've never changed the lore before (THM and CNJ anyone?)

As much as I seriously wish Musketeer was finally ready to be released, we still have a bit of an imbalance with the classes. We know Arcanist is coming along with summoner, but I think we should probably add one more mage class in the mix.

...Then release my musketeer!

Why would you assume an expansion ? There has been no talks of an expansion, only of 2.0...... You know logic dictates that if they are hinting towards 2 classes being released "Soon" or that they are in the "Works" that they would be for the upcoming tittle/patch/update/upgrade/ w/e you call 2.0..... But sure yeah expansion lol

They should release a class called "Entitled Crybaby". So many people would flock to that class.

however, right here someone took a photo of Bayohne's ATM receipt, that he dropped by accident for 30 mins, and told everyone he has 24500.67, Bayohne has the right to sue ppl, even it's posted through "Linkshell Board", at SE LS or hmm CH(-1) LS

Actually given that ARR is completely different from 1.0 they can easily takeout Musketeer and revise the storyline which they already said they would be revising to begin with.

Actually before 1.0 was released Tanaka said they were already developing an expansion so there has in fact been talks of an expansion. I assume it was either put on hold or became what is now A Realm Reborn.

Those where given to us as updates pre/after yoshida..... Do you think all this content was created out of thin air ? Also some of it or a vast majority could have ended up in what is going to be 2.0.....

eemm not really.. how will you hold that sue in court.. its bayohne's fault for not being careful and there is no text on the ATM recep. that says you shall not take pictures of this paper and post it.. if so you will be punished by law..

That is basically what I said that the expansion they were working on became 2.0 instead. They wouldn't have released a new expansion without a story to go with it which is likely where this story originated from. And everything they have been adding to the game is stuff they would have been doing regardless maybe not the same stuff but stuff nonetheless. And yes pretty much all the content is created out of "thin air" its not like they have a warehouse full of content they can go through, take what they want and implement it to the game.
