True but the Armoire doesn't store dyes - and with the extremely limited number of glamour plates we have, keeping the items dyed is a must.

Just like the armoire the glamour dresser cant save dyes on pieces that are part of an outfit either. Hope you didnt want an expensive dye saved on that. :)

I don't buy cash shop items over $10, but I was hoping to buy the Queen of Hourne outfit eventually with more disposable income. The total price to own both variations of this newly-released outfit, $48, is over 10% of the monthly minimum wage in the country where I live.

I think it's outrageous and kind of makes me dread what's going to happen with future cash shop outfits.

If the Viera and Hrothgar head items adjustment dont apply to these then its a even bigger slap to the face. But hey something has to pay for FFXIV Mobile's development.

The release of this for the KR version actually followed the same release scheme for the outfit, with two partial sets and the hat/gloves being separate. I assume it sold well enough over there to view it as the most profitable mode over here as well:

Personally, I think it's ridiculous. This is unacceptable without some sort of extreme discount or being bundled together. We had variants in the past for KR (thinking about the streetwear set) that were bundled together, what was the motivation here? Oh, right, probably $$$.

I'm just here to add my voice to the general outrage over the high price of this outfit. I do like the idea of separating the items, but the parts are way over-priced and out of line for cash shop prices. And they are pretty bland looking, so not worth the effort in my opinion.

I hope Square sees the backlash on this and changes their ways.

For context, I've bought almost every cash shop outfit, and I'm probably the textbook definition of a 'whale' for this game.

I think it's overpriced and too narrow from a glamour standpoint, so I won't buy it.

Outfit glamours in the dresser also doesn't store dyes so I don't think there's any reason not to store it in the armoire (unless you don't use outfit glamours and dye pieces individually)

That said I still agree that this pricing is unreasonable and predatory.

If I'm buying a mog station piece, you can bet I'll dye it with one of the expensive dyes. Which is why the outfit glamour system seriously needs adjustment.

I usually buy every mogstation outfit and hairstyle. Over $40 for the complete outfit is too much without some sort of bundle discount. My husband also gets some mogstation outfits, so that would be over $80 for our household if we were to both purchase this. I don’t plan to get this without some sort of sale at least.

No, they are different outfits. The shirt, pants, and shoes are similar but different. That is why I don't bundle them together. Also if you're going to bundle them together, the price tag is $42, not $40. 18+18+6.

Cropped: open-back harness top, slops, loafers
Trousers: harness top, trousers, boots

Like I get that we like to rage on SE for this kind of stuff, I don't disagree with it, but providing misinformation just makes the outrage look like a bunch of misguided and uninformed customers.

I for one will marry the person who buys me this set and I'll exclusively support them in any content they want to ru, for an entire month, on a role they need(i.e. healer/tank etc) :D

Of course, now they are penalizing people who do want the full set by making them pay even more.

This is just sad... Soon they will sell each gear slot item by its self for $10 so an entire set will cost $50

Desperation is the only thing that will drive them to do anything, good or bad. They seem bizarrely languid for a company that is depending on one game for half their income, especially given the rapidly declining state of that game.

But the whales want it.

The fact that its $24 USD to get a "complete" outfit is bad enough. The fact that you then have to buy a slight variation on it for $18 USD more is obscene. Absolutely tone deaf.

This set is a hard pass for me. The way the entire set is split into 3 purchases (and a total of $42!) does not sit right with me. Combined with what was said in the previous live letter (that ffxiv funds are stretched thin) it's clear that the money made from this set won't be put back into the game.

Why would I want a temu tier outfit in game when I can buy a temu tier outfit IRL for less?

Splitting the styles across three different purchases, and the price is really scummy, and anti customer.

It's a belt attire and it's not even designed by Nomura. What missed opportunity.

Aren't that actually two sets? Two sets each with different chest, leg and foot pieces and both use the same arm and head piece. So if you want one set, you pay 18.72 €. And if you also want the other set as well, you even only have to pay 13.50 € instead of 18.72 € again.

You seem to like putting words in someones mouth. Neither I'm defending the practise nor did I justify the price. I only stated it as what it is.

I consider myself a whale and have dropped cash on everything they've released on the cash shop, merchandise, collectors edition ect ect.

But this is very hard to justify even for me.

Yeah this is a hard pass for me. I'm not crazy about the outfit at all (we have similar and better in-game already), but even if I was the price to get the whole set is absolutely outrageous. I hope no one buys it and the idea tanks.

Even if you look at it this way, that's still a price increase from 17,50€ to 18,72€ for no reason other than milking.

Edit: Actually it's a price increase from 13,50€ to 18,72€ for a SINGLE outfit with hat and gloves. How is that ok? lol
