Does that mean you are done with Dodore for now?

On topic (this happened yesterday but I just found this thread) got 3 Dodore Wings for my LS and the 3rd drop being from my first solo (ノ^_^)ノ so now I have my doublet and also a couple of my friends.

Congrats on soloing it! It is very hard to do, when they stack shadowsear! We're not gonna be done until we get one for everyone in the shell, whether they craft or not!

Dodore Doublets would make some great LS uniforms ^_^

* No we did not steal this Uraeus from a group who just wiped.

* Nor did we have more ppl in the battle and just told em to walk away or force logout so they don't appear on the photo

We had to reset rage to be able to do this and since we had all the area for us that was no problem. This was done yesterday around the time Guildleves were just reset so most ppl were doing rank up parties or doing something else so we were left alone.

If you wonder about MP issues I had to Siphon from the nearby squirrels and does and also disengage mid fight to be able to recover. I had my weapon away 1/3 of the battle only taking it out to cast heals and DoTs.

Good job! I had my best sucess soloing dodore this morning, and almost got it. but then i goofed up after all the hard work was done.....

Well that's too bad but if you were able to go that far you can do it again. Each time it becomes easier and easier.

PGL to 31 and I didn't get to really grind on CRP, but I got over 3 stacks of Yew Lumber now.

I've accomplished having too much to do in the game, surprisingly enough! :P

Same strategy as with Uraeus, altough we felt the Buffalo was easier to kill since I could use punishing barbs as a reliable damage tool in this fight thanks to his attacks being AoE so every 3 mins I was dealing anywhere bewteen 1,200 to 3,000 damage just by standing next to him.

I was planning to take a more panoramic photo while he was still alive but also I wanted to cast 2 shadowsears before moving to a better spot to do so, problem is he died after those 2 casts so I took these photos in a hurry and barely managed to catch one with his name greyed out so ppl just don't come and say this was Tarbh and not the Great Buffalo

Sorry but that stingy Buffalo only dropped crystals ._.

Not surprising, friend said it took them roughly 30 kills for a bloody weapon head to drop.

I felt Uraeus was the hardest to stick DoTs at and that is why he took us the longest to kill out of the 4 we did (we can't kill the Elder Mosshorn on duo, I can't figure out how to do so except using zombie tactics with punishing barbs to get rid of the helpers but then someone could just come up and grab it since it will be left alone ._.) I was able to stick Dia and Bio on Uraeus but I was relying mainly on Poison.

This NM battles were never a matter of will we be able to kill em? (aside from the Aldgoats, and it's funny that the NM with the worst drop is the one we can't kill ^^) But they were more of a how long will it take us.

I basically did this to prove that everyone can 2 man these NMs now that we have MP regen because even without mobs nearby to siphon from I can just take my weapon out and I have infinite MP. You just need a tank rank 50 and you are good, I don't wanna take merit out of Sakura but this would have been as easy if she was a GLA or MRD.

So if you are a Rank 50 mage and have a rank 50 tank friend who is willing to spend a few hours with you killing some NMs give it a try.

* You can do Uraeus and Tarbh If you are a just Con 50 just mind your distance.
* For Dodore and The Goblin you need to be THM since you will be basically soloing them, your partner will mainly help you kill em faster.
* On the Goblin your partner can't stay near the gobs unless he has emulate or else he may die in seconds from all the bombs falling around. If he does not have emulate You can have him fight the helpers one at a time by pulling em away from your, not too far tho so he is in rangue to be healed but out of rangue from the explosions and also if he is in rangue to be healed the goblin he is fighting is also in rangue to be hit by DoTs, shadowsear and shadowfall.

* On a Dodore duo this is what we did: Once all the minions and Dodore are in position looking towards you have your partner stand behind a minion and voke him off and keep the minion on him at all times that way you have 1 less shadowsear
to worry about just make sure that he is fighting the minion while looking directly at you so the minion is giving you his back or else the minion will use their amnesia moves on both your partner and you and when that happens you are pretty much dead. You can do these with multiple partners as well each one taking a minion, by doing that there's practically 0 chance of you wiping. There's no risk on your parntners dying because you will just heal them while healing yourself and you are also hitting the minions with DoTs and everything else, just make sure they don't move em around. The ppl helping you need to stand behind em and voke not voke then move to them or they can screw over the whole battle, always have em stand behind them and then voke, also give the minions a few seconds to take their positions, don't let em rush behind em and voke right away.

It still amazes me to see a group of 6+ ppl wiping to dodore, especially while looking at the other ones just standing there doing nothing while the THM is doing everything, that is just calling for a wipe sooner or later. Yes I've soloed Dodore and I know it's possible to have all your minions on your for a long period but these THMs I've seen tanking for their LS are not geared appropiately.

So if you wanna try this happy hunting.

We decided to give a shot at the Elder Mosshorn after going to Camp Brittlebark trying to get a Dodore Wing for my friend Ayameko (wich we did on our 1st try) and finding out they dumbed down Dodore, he only has 3 minions now and they all also have less HP so the fight is a joke now, even with just 3 ppl (thank you Sakura for helping Aya and me kill it faster). So after seeing this I thought they did the same for all other NMs and I was right, the Elder had only 3 Aldgoats helping him so we were able to pull that battle off much easier now.

I'm really sad seeing that they dumbed down the old Notorius Monsters, there was no need to do that, you really never needed more than a party of 8 to down em all on time, I downed the Buffalo with 4 ppl twice around 20-23 minutes so 8 ppl rank 47-50 should have no problems doing it before he rages. Maybe you needed 15 if your party was rank 40-45 but really a party of 15 guys rank 50 was overkill by a long shot.

Also pretty much any THM rank 50 can solo kill Dodore and the Goblin NM now without any problems, I don't see em wiping unless they go afk mid battle, I bet you can even solo the Great Buffalo seeing as he has less HP now.

I don't complain about the new NMs because I know those are not supposed to be killed by a bunch of rank 50 ppl who kills em in less than 3 minutes, but I don't understand why they had to mess up with the old ones. This update had me excited at the start but now after doing the old NMs under the new rules I'm really upset and scared at the direction this game is heading.

killed a few of the new NM, found Alux 20 minutes after servers went live so hoping i got first kill xD (damn update took forever so i couldn't get on as soon as they went live)

i started off solo but had some backup come during the fight, gonna try to solo a load of the new NM later today and get some of the new gear from them.

oh, and i also got my first craft to rank 20, and I'll be focusing a bit more on goldsmith from here on :D

this news greatly upsets me.

Conquistador Celta and Kokoroon's Darkshell Mail for my LNC.

All I really need now are the belt and Fists of the Sixth Sun, camped the cactuar for hours last night and we somehow managed to get 4 helmets and 1 fist, you'd think it'd be the other way around...

All day yesterday was spent hunting down the new NMs, and it was a great success. While we had no difficulty with the NMs, the goals was the loot. We first got the Darkshell Mail for all in the party (Didn't take very long), then we headed off to try and get some other loot.

In the end I walked away with the Darkshell Mail, Paladin Troussers, Engineer's Leggings, Shellsplitter, Fists of the Sixth Sun and the final prize, at 5am, the Conquistador Elmo. Only took about 5 hours to get 3 helmets. I think all in all we got 5 sets of Fists. We were practically begging people to take them towards the end. Haha.

Punched Yarr in the nuts last night, he used deflection though. also got some sp on my thm and killed some of the new NM's with some lower players.
