This was actually quite a bit of fun. It's hilarious watching the entire camp get stomped (us included), but eventually my party and I managed to kill one of the ghosts.
From when I did this last night, I seem to have a feeling they are true sight/sound aggro once they have been aggro'd away from their spawn point.
Only reason I think this is when I was at the Crystal without moving I had 0 aggro on anything, after people started aggro-ing them and pulling them all over I died and HP-d back to the Aetheryte where for a few secs no aggro but as the unclaimed started slowly moving back they looked at me and boom dead! lol
Could be way off with the aggro but thats what happened to me if that helps anyone out :p
You need to be in Walk Mode to not aggro sound mobs - Merely standing still does nothing because they can still 'hear' you. Also I figured Skeletons and 'fallen' mobs were sight aggro since they do still aggro sometimes even when you're walking.
Gnats were the mobs that were attracted to dead bodies -- Most undead aggroed yellow and lower HP and Cursed (fomors) aggroed Weaponskill, Sound, Low HP (in certain areas) and Job Ability usage.
Ever try to walk?
...and it is awesome! Should be the rest of the thread title :D
WHat's worse is when you are a bunch of well geared 50's, and op in and try to get to a mission to help someone and didn't realize they were there, and how a bunch of relic geared 50's don't mean jack crap.
THere are progressive waves of them. IF they are alrady ut, and not sure which name is what level, but it is a chance that a group gave up and the wave didn't reset. They become harder. You can trigger the first, get through them, second, with decent sized full groups, Next, falttened everyone. and peopel get fustrated. You need to clearly get organzied with alot of people.
But having it in areas where peopel are not suffcient levels, bad.
I swear to god Atomos has it out on me. 3 missions in a row in Mor DHona and he pops at camps im at. Brittle then the upper one. I port in don't move.. clearly worthless since Imps are true site.
I have someone shout where he is, big group comes in thinking... heh easy. now there are bodies everywhere... tip. Approach outside the camp don't port in people.
Just in case anyone is still looking for Atomos to clear the quest, he does not only spawn the undead at night.

Atomos is actually really dangerous lol. He can wipe out a single party of 50's rather easily. You need a few parties...its just silly. I've died many a time porting into brittlebark..but its fun lol.
I love Atomos right where it is currently!
(>_<)' It was pretty exciting! I was on my way to Mor Dhona but got spooked by the Inferno Dragons, so I baled and teleported back to Camp Ever Lakes... I wondered why the Aetheryte Chrystal was glowing orange but didn't have much time to think about it before I got hit! After I was on the ground I had a good view of Atomos and a small horde of Darkvoid mobs. They all vanished about 20 seconds later. Does anyone know how long the mob usually stays in an area?
Does it ever go to the RMT camps?
drake r sound aggro, just walk past em will suffice.
Altho... Atomos kinda makes this difficult. :p
@ most camp, port in, ride chocobo, and then blast urself outta the way (but careful not running into 60+ mobs).
i say put atomos in the starting camps and only attack parties of 4 or more... that will teach RMTs to amass multiple accts and play them all at once
