A couple expansions down the line you can just unsync the raid. That's why the system exists. There will always be people who want those rewards either for themselves or to sell and it only gets easier over time.

But why not have alternative ways to obtain rewards if you can just unsync and steamroll the content when it's irrelevant?

Why not give players more freedom of choice by then?

Apparently someone was living under a rock when Chaotic released because it was non-stop crying about the exact same thing. I swear people are allergic to the idea of actually playing the game. Heck it's been a month and there's a half dozen of them on the marketboard on my world and it's not even a big raiding one. They're not even much more expensive than the figmental coffer. Hell I think it was a great idea. A way to entice people to give chaotic a go and see that maybe it's not so scary to try more content out of their comfort zone. It also gives raiders something to trade so they can get some gil for pots/food/gear for the next tier. Honestly if you actually think about it, the inclusion of it in high end content is great for many components of the game and it'd be cool if they continued to do it more in the future.

But why not give people more options after the expansion concludes? There will always be a new carrot on the stick in the future to entice the player base to check out new content. Why deny people different ways to obtain items when the content enters its legacy phase and doesn't matter anymore?

I mean this be the same forum complaining the new hair locked behind savage instead of idk learning the fight instead of wanting free hand outs.... XD

I would bet 100 million gil that they will add the hairstyle to a future moogle tomestone event as they have with other exclusive rewards and it will plummet to 250k a piece and the price will never recover. A fair solution, I say. Give the raiders some time to sell at high prices and then more casual players can pick it up on the cheap later.

Even though I'm one of the community, I struggle to understand this community sometimes.

Y'all kicked off about mounts and hairstyles being locked behind content, but you're fine with paying real life currency for a cosmetic of the same nature.
I personally don't want, need, care about it, nor will I buy it, but you folks need to decide on what to be mad about tomorrow.

They do. The past extreme trial mounts and whatnot often show up in those Moogle Tomestone events. I wouldn't be surprised if the chaotic hairstyle shows up there at some point.

Yeah it is such a "blessing": only took about a decade to get this hairstyle and it's on the cash shop because they know it's easy money due to everyone asking for it for literally years. They put hairstyles behind a hard in-gamefight and that's a "major issue" for some, but paying real money for a hairstyle is a "blessing". I don't know if I'll ever truly understand some parts of the community.

Either way, I will say though I am surprised they actually took the time for once to make it so Viera/Hrothgar could actually use this hairstyle. Just imagine if this hairstyle came out with the "Viera/Hroth cannot use this" slapped on it, but it didn't, so they get half a clap for that miracle at least since I don't expect this kind of treatment given to a cash shop item again for...a very long while.

RIP copium hopes for Hilda custom deliveries with her hairstyle being the final reward from her.

Unbelievable. People have been asking for this hairstyle for like a decade and Square Enix makes us pay for it? Aren't they making enough off this game already? There is no excuse for this except plain, ugly greed.

While I don't mind NPC hairstyles and outfits going on the mogstation, it is kind of weird to add it with the Valentione's day items when we only get an emote and poster furnishing this year, especially when this year's event was tied to Ishgard. ( ´･ω･)…｡oо○
The poor glamour community is ravenous for new gear and cosmetics so of course they're going to eat any crumb they can get. (✧﹃ ✧)

I will say that I do appreciate that they are now selling the NPC hair separate from the outfits. Now if only we could buy items separate from sets. Also, I hope we don't have to wait 10 years for Gaia's hair. (っ´ω｀c)

(Even if this wasn't a cash item I'd expect this to be properly adjusted by the way. I assume the employees must be under extreme pressure if they don't even get the time to deliver good work. I doubt that anyone signed up to become an 3D artist to deliver below mediocore work, not even getting the time to rework such a hairstyle properly. Guys, if you need help, send a sign and the playerbase will protest for you.)

Imagine if all these cash shop hairstyles based off existing npc hairs were tied to quests instead. And not just some boring side quest, but an actually enjoyable quest where you adventure with that npc and form a bond with them, and then at the end of it they're like "hey, wanna try something fun with me?" and they put you up in a chair and style your hair like theirs. So many missed opportunities in this dogshit ass game, it's no wonder their numbers are falling off a cliff. Even on steamcharts the trends are going to areas we haven't seen since covid. But everything's fixed now, because you can buy a hairstyle.

That would've been cool. I wouldn't mind a quest where we have to be a body double for an NPC with unique hair. It could even be comical, depending on how different your character looks to said character.

Maybe another hairstyle reward quest could have us signing up for a lookalike contest, or being a stand-in for a theater production.

You can unlock the ability to purchase one (Ramza's for male characters, Alma's for females) from the Gold Saucer by completing the 24-man raids' questline.

This will definitly save this train wreck of a game.....
