Yeah, I've been running a lot of Merc party and one thing I notice lately is after the kill, half the party says they can't teleport to the employers because they're all from different data center.

Frankly they should lock out Aether for one expansion.

Hey, in a way it is. Us players want to have fun in a video game so don't play the worst jobs in the game. It really is crazy how selfish we are.

It is a player made issue. But it could have been mitigated some had they moved 2 servers from Aether/Primal/Crystal to Dynamis like how they did with Balmung/Mateus being sent to Crystal. 1-2 larger servers being brought to a new datacenter helped Crystal grow to be as big as it is. I think they also should have completely shut down Aether/Primal/Crystal to character creation for a long time to promote growth on Dynamis when they first introduced the server.

I don't see the healer strike being the issue for lack of healers but more of the cross server / cross datacenter travel issues. I've read enough stories on day one of savage that nobody is able to get to where they need to go. They replaced Raubahn Savage with Cross Datacenter Savage... are they really wanting to copy the Stormblood formula this badly? /humor

It’s not like all the healers are sequestered on say primal and all can’t travel to aether in order to fill up parties. All data centres have a distribution of roles and all 4 at the moment can’t find healers. Which means people aren’t playing healers. Not stuck in data centre limbo
