You seem to misunderstand I don't want to remove the regular dye system.

My idea is to add onto it by having them permamently unlocked in your glamour dresser if you add 50 dyes to the glamour dresser. It sounds fair to me, some people dye way more then that, with constant new outfits, and will go trough tons of dyes super fast. With my idea they would be able to dye outfits way more flexible cause they can atleast unlock the dyes permamently.

You seem to misunderstand my point, it's not the system I have an issue with but the quantity. You'd either need to lower the cost for green-quality dyes to 5-10 or drop all of it to that level.

50 Pure white for a perma unlock is outrageous.

They could also add an NPC that lets someone rebuy armor they have discovered from leveling dungeons and extremes / savage raids with gil or tomestones, respectively. They already have a system in place to get people to do older dungeons via the roulette, so there isn't a reason to keep to an antiquated system like they have at the moment with forcing people to rerun dungeons. That and leveling dungeon armor is trivial to get compared to the expert dungeons. How often is anyone in this game going "naw I don't like this armor..." and then later on going "Yeah I want this now for glamour?" I can't imagine it being that often since the few times I ran into that personally, it just reaffirmed why I didn't like the armor to begin with.

Even more so when you consider the additional demand it would create and the consequent price rise.

Not a jab at you, but "please understand we don't have the hardware capable of this, we're only a small indie company" doesn't wash when they rake in so much every month from subs.

I usually ascribe to Hanlon's Razor for most things, but in this instance I do genuinely think they don't fix this system because they can sell extra storage with retainers.

"Multi-Dollar Company"

I wouldn't care at all to pay additional subscription fees for having unlimited glamours instead of having retainers, where I spend hours clicking to transfer items back and forth, which is just NOT fun but very tedious work.

I might be biased because I have the mount that summons a transmog NPC, but I never thought the 'talking to a specific NPC' thing was that bad. There's one in every major city, at least.

But yeah, having the glamour catalog for assembling plates while keeping everything else the same would be the best form of the system.
