Time travel can save dt.

This could actually work. Currently we are "partially" merged with the world the Alexandrians came from. We don't know what the long term effects of the Source being partially merged with a Shard could be, but I would assume not good. Now the only way to fully merge them would be a Calamity, which would get us the #WukLamatMustDie Ending, but not a great overall plan. Alternatively we time travel stop the partial merge from happening, and you know maybe make it so Garfield doesn't get adopted.

I used to think G'raha was selfish for risking wiping an entire universe out of existence for a new life that's better for just him, but then I met Wuk Lamat and I am now okay with abandoning this timeline.

So hear me out. We don't use time travel to reset our timeline but instead we jump into Graha's original timeline instead. I would rather fight the apocalypse than do a single another speak to wuk lamat mission again.

If she survives here. Then let the parasitic creature claim this time and I will fight whatever the 8th calamity was.

May I propose that we arrive after the calamity happened? This way the scions will be absent due to circumstances and we get a new cast of characters.

But we can't look to the Mother Crystal we used it to power the Ragnarok remember, and Hydaelyn is now gone, having used up the remainder of her power to ensure we had the strength to fight the Endsinger.

If they give us a big time travel storyline, I don't want it wasted on this. I'd rather have something like FFXI's Wings of the Goddess expansion.

See I've mentioned before my idea for what could have been done, but it also works for Time Travel. Take us back to 1.0, reworked for the new way the game is, but take us back to the old zones before Bahamut changed everything. Fill them out, fix the problems, bring it all up to snuff. This would allow them to reintroduce the 1.0 story, again upgraded for the way the game is now, old 1.0 items people want *cough*Peregrine Helm*cough*, and tie it all into a whole new plot where we need to know stuff from the now inaccessible areas. This would also allow us to see places like Ishgard before the snow, maybe even Garlameld before the destruction, though that might be pushing it.

FFXI already had several expansions on that theme so I'm over that kind of narrative device.

For that matter, same with time travel frankly.

And on that theme, best take heed of this song about wanting time travel to 'save' DT, it's appropriate...

Better for just him? What exactly are you talking about here? are you referring to the timeline that the Crystal Exarch came from? In other words, the one where Black Rose killed a ton of people, and the entire First was wiped from existence. I'd personally prefer the timeline he created by making the split.
Also, it's implied that that timeline still exists, it's just that G'raha become tied to the main timeline after spending so much time there, and becoming so attached to the people in it.

No, the reality is that we are still stuck at the end of the universe. Zenos came back in our body and is just pretending to be us. With the echo he can learn what he needs so he does not make a mistake, and since we don’t talk much… as long as he keeps quiet he can “play the hero” he always wanted to be.

If we went back in time and made it so Dawntrail didn’t happen wouldn’t we then cease to exist as each of us has already experienced it? How, then, could we have undone Dawntrail? Spooky…

if it's genuine, i really would love to hear concrete, well thought out arguments that aren't just the hivemind's opinion. you're telling me because of -one- character, you're writing off the entirety of the expansion pack? that doesn't seem quite fair.
