I highly doubt they've kept anything from us. I fail to see what it could even be.
Hrm... Let's give it some analysis and see how much stuff is there.
We already know there will be a 1.23a, so let's keep it in mind they're doing a couple of lettered patches.
Six new Side-Quests.
"To Kill a Raven", the Legatus Battle quest. Presumption of mine it will be at least a reasonably long quest, I don't think the fight will be any easy either since he is categorized under 'Primal'.
New Faction Leves. Let's not underestimate that content, why introduce new leves, specially Faction ones? They have a reason, I don't know yet.
Skirmish. I think we're all retty excited about it.
The following zones have had their enemies placement altered: Brittlebark, Crooked Fork, Glory, Twinpools, Sandgate, Bearded Rock, Moraby Bay, Iron Lake, The Isles of Umbra, Woad Whisper Canyon, Bentbranch, Lynxpelt Patch, Verdant Drop.
Most of those are really out of the goddamn way, although some of them are also nearly primary spots (Bentbranch?). I will simply say it's suspicious if anything because there was no real reason to go to those places before, maybe there is now.
There are four pieces of Coliseum gear, and they are not crafted. Which means they drop from somewhere. And if they are included in the patch notes? It means that they are already avaiable (unlike say, the Officer weapons, which were datamined before they were in the patch notes, so we knew what they were before they were in the game). I don't think they are related in any way to Nael's battle as well, it makes no sense.
Player Search feature included three new areas: Rivenroad, Turtleback Island and Locke's Lie. I believe one or two of them is for Skirmish, but what about the other?
Also: Notice they did not include the Yukatas in the patch notes, nor the new dance emote, OR the summer festival quest. We know the event is coming. Simple guess is that it's coming into the next lettered patch.
There we go, a nice summing up, I do think there is a lot of content here, really.
Yes I agree.. Why would they Change certain zones and not others? and there are some that don;t make any since at all ( Bentbranch? XD
Brittlebark, Mor Dhona ( Obviously in this place.. but in that place it seems everything is fine where they are when I went thewre on United we stand.. nothing was really killing me)
Crooked Fork, Coerthas Eastern Highlands ( I never been to that area)
Glory, Coerthas Eastern Lowlands ( Again why a place like this when Nothing really kills you?)
Twinpools, Coerthas Western Highlands (Never been there)
Sandgate, Eastern Thanalan ( I remember going there once and there was high level Mobs I think)
Bearded Rock, Lower La Noscea ( Low level area again :P)
Moraby Bay, Lower La Noscea ( Don't remember it)
Iron Lake, Upper La Noscea ( 37-44ish camp, nothing really sticks out here)
The Isles of Umbra, Western La Noscea ( New Area? " Thought it was for Skim. battle content...")
Woad Whisper Canyon, Western La Noscea ( New Area? " Thought it was for Skim. battle content...")
Bentbranch, Central Shroud ( Low level Area again :P)
Lynxpelt Patch, East Shroud ( Never been too)
Verdant Drop, East Shroud ( Never been too)
------------------------------
In Short this places they "rearranged mobs" are either in Low Camps.. which doesn't make any since at all unless its for the 7th Umbral Content, Unknown places that only a select few went to ( Explorer's) Places like Verdant Drop, and Lynxpelt Patch...
Obviously SE has more up their sleeves than people think.
Great patch notes. Can't wait to play, good job Dev team
Mayhaps the mob re-arrangements has something to do with the "drastic world changes". One can only dream.
My To-Do List!
All the Quests
Kill a Raven
Get a Chocobo Mask, Handle with Care III probably
Turn in mog weapons for seals
Get sanction items
Make a Goldsmith’s Turban
^^
I tried to get to all of these places. LOL Got killed in most of them. Some are really interesting with high lvl mobs that just stare at you. But what about the other places that we go to all the time with no high lvl mobs? We do low lvl lvling at Bearded Rock... it is for beginners... why change it??? Maybe Skirmish recruiting area??? But why change the mobs??? This patch notes thing is driving me crazy...
I don't know why but " The Isles of Umbra" is exciting me for some reason :P. I agree its driving everyone insane.. even for a person like me who is generally calm about most things LOL.

All things under 1.23
- Seventh Umbral Era battle quests ( Its in Plural in which there is more than this "1" GC quest, or perhaps the Side Quests are part of the 7th Umbral Content)
- Addition of Seventh Umbral Era monsters ( That's probably the main reason for the Rearranging of Mobs but why places so far away unless something is there that we need to get/kill etc
- Addition of map objects /Addition of Seventh Umbral Era-related objects ( I think this is in Conjunction with the 7th Umbral Mobs because of the fact of why makes us go all the way out there without doing something there for a mission or quest)
If I think of any possible solutions I will post them.
See I thought the same, but that's a bit off, so close to the beta and sevrers going down, I'd thought we'd at least have info on the summer event...
I have a feeling that we're all going to be getting a big surprise once we log on after the patch and begin to explore. But I always try and keep my expectations low as not to be dissapointed by it.
Heck, I'm even expecting dalamud to only be a tad bit larger.
Looks good so far. Not as spoilerific as the other patches. But of course the whole forum is going overboard assuming the worst. *sigh*
Well it's also worth noting that event items are seldom listed in patch notes and the activation/deactivation of the event itself does not have to coincide with a patch.
Take this year's Hatching's Tide event for example. It ran from March 28th to April 10th. The Egg rings weren't mentioned at all in the 1.21 or 1.21a patch notes. 1.21a hit on March 26th and 1.22 came in on April 25th.
I'm guessing that at least some of the mob readjustment will be because of the new recipes. More boar camps for example.
All of you people assuming that it's not in the patch notes, and SE IS going to surprise, refer to every other patch in this game we've ever had.
Refer to Alpha
Refer to Beta.
Don't get your expectations too high, and you'll be satisfied!
this summer fest is gonna be awkwaaaard... it's like, oh yeah the world is just coming to end. BUT LET'S PARTAY!!!
now that i think about it, that's kind of appropriate lol
I'm wondering if they eased up travel routes to make some achievements obtainable since they are vanishing in 2.0.
Mysterious notes are mysterious
I was able to get to moraby bay just fine.
There's a quest down there now. Not sure what for.
Oh, I have.
The point of my post was merely stating that Nael's battle will most likely not be repeatable like the Primals, it's just that due to the way it works it fits to be categorized under Primals.
I mean, it could go under Quests but i'm not sure if it'd be as good a fit.
<.< Star, if you come near me with that crazy, I will kill you before Dalamud does.
i think the notes are great.
Looking forward to doing Skirmish until my fingers bleed.
Don't complain about 1.23 it will get revamped anyway bit more with 2,0 Look forward to it. Not 1.2+ version
Isle of Umbra is south Bald Knoll.
From the exploring guide:
Quote:
The Isles of Umbra: Difficulty:* Patience: **
Aggro Mobs: Crabs, Goobbues
Strategy: Enter the cave on the top. When you come out, you'll need to walk past the crabs. Then just run until you get to the next cave. When you come out, there'll be a goobbue roaming around. Avoid or walk past him to the gate.
I have a feeling To Kill A Raven is just the start the last quest line(the begining of the end, if you will).
and no Vortex Totem reduction :(
