Facewear Wishlist

Imagine if you could save your look in The Aesthetician as a special item that you could put in your facewear slot, so you could switch hairstyles and makeup while changing glamour plates

The ability to switch hair and other appearance features along with gear/glamour is an often requested feature. Even if they can do it using the facewear feature, It wouldn't be good, since people would still want to have glasses and other facewear when they change their hair etc.

The usual suggestion is to save appearance choices along with Glamour Plates.

While it would be nice for us to have more facewear, I wish they would design a system that allows players to pick whichever headpiece to be saved into their "Facewear" list and wear them together with any other facewear. I.e. Princess Peach Corsage plus Isle Vacationeer Visor/Magitek Ear Guards.

Maybe give it like some limit to the facewear list - 100, and make "Facewear Prism"/use same old glamour prism? :D

That’s what I thought it was going to be initially, until they started showing it off in the media tours. Still wish it could be that way, because I wear my hair ribbon with everything, but it would be nice to also use some of the cute barrettes too, like the Lunar Envoy hairpin.

I think pretty much anything that isn't classified as a hat or helmet should be viable for facewear. Blindfolds, bandanas, masks, visors, fake beard/stash.... I'm tempted to say hairpins, circlets and horns too but those don't really go on the face despite not being hats or helmets either.

For the once that currently exists.. can we get the glasses version only of the varsity cap

For completely new ones, can i get those kind of sunglasses where yea, its tinted but people can still see your eye through it. Not the current opaque ones we currently have in game RN.

Add piercings as facewear. Please. They're so easy to do. Eyebrows/nose/lips.

I want the Level 60 Machinist AF goggles.

I know they aren't face accessories but I would like the Claws of the Beast/False Nails/etc. to be included as "facewear". So many fingerless gloves I would like to pair claws with.

I'd like Cid's goggles to be facewear too.

Face masks and different types of face arts like changing look of eye pupils to stars and other shapes.

Masks, i really wanna masks, add the makai mask, the titanium mask etc, not only stuff for your eyes or anything let me wear a makai mask in combation with a base cap

I'd love to see eyepatches as face wear.

And letting us flip the side of the eye patch like a visor toggle, would be perfect

There are many times I'd like to wear an eyepatch with a hat. I think it's weird that the most basic eyepatches are locked to DoW, Like the Leather Eyepatch and the Hard Leather Eyepatch. There are several, all the same model but different colors, all lock to DoW. It would be nice if these were open to all.

This is the only one I know of that has no class/job locks and goes on the right eye.

It would be nice if all of these could flip to the other eye and were available to all classes.

There are a few scarves/bandanas. Adding these to facewear would allow us to use them with a cowboy hat, which is only one posibility.

Female Moonkeeper face 2 has an optional nose bandaid in facial features. I don't know of any others. Adding it as a face wear would be a good way to give it to everyone who wants it, but they would need to make it not conflict with the one(s?) that exist(s).

It's not really my thing, but I imagine those who want a nose bandaid might also want to wear glasses or other facewear. Though you would still have the option to use headwear versions of those. It seems it would be ideal to add the bandaid in facial features for everyone (changeable with the aesthetician), but they are reluctant to add new features to character customization since we all know that would cause the servers to explode, ending life as we know it. :) Of course that would mean you couldn't change your bandaid with your gear set as you can with current facewear.

EDIT: Also all current face wear has color options and current facial features don't. I'm curious: Do nose bandaid fans want colors? Do they want the plain strip or the Band-Aid look with the pad in the middle, hole pattern and rounded ends?

They added at least 5 new facewear items. 2 with Jonathas in Gridania and 3 at the Gold saucer, Including some of those requested like Pince-nez and the Elegant Rimless.

Chiming in to add my requests:

Please, add Reading Glasses as facewear.

I've been so excited to finally be able to wear hats AND glasses since the first announcement! I was expecting that these would be added in this new patch since they sadly weren't included in 7.0, but it wasn't the case, again. These are the only glasses that I use with my character...

I also request of another way to obtain the Shaded Spectacles facewear. It was a Fashion Accessory reward for a previous PvP season, but it seems previous Series rewards aren't going to be available anytime soon. For those (as me) who missed this or/and only own the Shaded Spectacles as lv1 gear, we don't have an option to convert them to facewear. Please consider making these available for everyone.

I do want to say that it was nice seeing goggles added as facewear in the patch notes, but seeing that they added more than just that single one, including pince-nez of multiple colours, is such a nice step forward and gives me hope they'll continue adding more options to facewears.

Yeah I liked seeing the goggles too, they just need an opaque pair in there.

There are two pairs of glasses that are showing up on the market and on FFXIV collect. No mention of source.

If you're talking about the glasses your character is wearing they can be bought from the scrips vendor.

Was just thinking of that as I clicked on thus thread. It's one of my most used eye wear on my main and it'd be nice to eventually get it with a mirror alternative as well. And of course with dyes.

Still waiting for Head Bandages, but getting the Obsolete Android's Goggles as eyewear would be super cool
