Is this the first time Native Mesoamerican culture has been represented in FF?

They're based on native New Zealanders/Maori specifically.

It's mostly reflected in their dancing style and reverence of Bismarck (As whales are viewed as sacred in their native customs).

Remains to be seen what their Tural counterparts are drawing inspiration from.

FFV and FFT had Ronka ruins which were inspire by Inca / Aztec / Maya.

We've had no shortage of tribal culture architecture and such. There is the aztec spot in uh, La Hee bunny girl forest.
Im pretty underwhelmed, theres just been so much already that is just fantasy that its hard to care for the minor distinguishments between that and portraying a real world culture. I also cant help but think creative bankruptcy. Im not impressed by the sci fi solution 9 either.

I would actually have some kind of respect for them going full south america if they kept the expansion in the rainforest type locations without splitting the expansion in half between jungle and sci fi city. The split is what really ruins this expansion so far for me. It's like what they did in stormblood; if you want a japan/asia expansion then do that.......why did you have to split it with gyr abania/ala mhigo. The entire msq felt like ala mhigo was just something they had to do while kugane/yanxia/azim was where all the fun was.

Completely agree. Thought I was the only one who thought this lolol. I’ll hold my breath for the current mashing together, but don’t see how they could be in the same expansion. Honestly, Sci fi city looks like what Garlameld-w/e should’ve shown instead of poof, removed from Endwalker.

While radzathan is indian, the splash art is actually like a brazilian favela. Unless india has something that looks like that too.
Or whatever place thats supposed to be if not radzathan.
