I like the new format, but have run into a few issues.
On an alt, the random weekly is a normal raid (judging by the icon) that I have not unlocked on that character. It doesn't tell me what it is, so I "don't know" what to do to unlock it (I know its an eden raid.) If weeklies are going to be randomized per-character, they should only be things that character already has unlocked.
Why are moogle tomes STILL something that take up inventory space? They are literally a currency. Put them on the currencies page.
And this is more of a personal gripe... but why are the Crystal Tower raids the ones giving tomes? They are already required for msq, and the only alliance raids anyone has available until they beat Heavensward. We do NOT need any further incentive to run those raids, they show up in roulette enough as it is. Crystal Tower raids should be locked out of moogle events indefinitely. If you're going to try to motivate people to try new things, then actually Do That by giving rewards for other raids. And tell them where the unlock quest is, in the event they don't have it yet. -

I would say the weekly needs to take into account MSQ progression, my alt got E3 when they are just about ready to fight Garuda in ARR for your MSQ is not very feasible. It should have picked a duty I could have done such as Sunken Temple of Qarn or Dzemael Darkhold. (I would need to go unlock Dzemael but it is at least possible.)

I agree that this is a really much more fun way to do the Moogle tomestone event, my only wish is that it took into account where you are in the MSQ. My Alt (whom I've been focusing on) has mostly ??? as options, including for the weekly. That's kinda disappointing. Also, having level 80 zone names in the minimog challenge is a tiny bit spoiler-y for people who aren't there yet. Yes, my Main is through 6.55, so I know about these things, and yes, I like this version better, I just wish it was coded to not include things you can't do.
For example, I can't do the weekly, nor the minimogs, due to where I'm at in MSQ. (Yes I know one is Triple Triad, but because I have not finished HW yet he won't play me. At least, I think that's the reason. I've got TT unlocked, but cannot play that particular NPC).

I admit I'm actually having some fun with this one too.
I don't generally play SCH except for in lower levels (60th and lower), but when its a lot of these early optional dungeons like this, I generally whip it out to cut down on queue times and do something a little different from my norm.
And I like the rewards for this one. I forgot to spend all my previous mog tomes so there was a ton of them I used up buying the older rewards, but this one has some good ones too. I am thinking of buying up a lot of the Maps since I always did like that Treasure Hunt Map party stuff, will be fun to do it again for a change. -

I like this format, although I would like to see it expanded on. More challenges, some hard some not. Also repeatable challenges as opposed to just farming a duty. They seem to be giving less options for speed farming , which would be perfectly fine provided that there's another means to acquire tomes aside from doing the same duties I just finished spamming to level all my jobs over the past 6 weeks

Well, I feel like I had to come update this thread, cause I've encountered a major annoyance. I had World of Darkness for my Weekly Objective in my Mogpendium. Already not happy about it, because... yeah WoD sucks lol. I get in, we get all the way to Cerberus, and I DC mid way through the fight. I already feel bad cause I was co-healing with a sprout SCH so I wanna get back in fast. I get back in pretty quick, but they're already about half way through Cloud of Darkness. We kill her, I leave, and then I notice... I don't have credit in my Mogpendium for running WoD. Sooo I do all that effort in a raid that kinda sucks, and I don't get anything out of it because I was gone for less than 5 minutes I guess? Obviously if it's something quick and easy, I probably wouldn't care so much, but to have to redo WoD is so frustrating. I'm honestly just not going to redo it. I'll just miss out on easy tomes this week I guess. It was for an alt anyway but damn that's so annoying.

Repeatedly doing FATEs or other field zone activities would be great. I'm sick of dungeons and pvp being the only repeatable sources of tomes. I like doing things in the open areas with other players working towards the same.
