They managed to perfectly capture the thing I hate most about Fall Guys, when you're eliminated and it forces you to wait and load to spectate the next round even though literally everyone just wants to leave immediately when they lose.
This event used to be fun, until I learned about the 100 wins achievements. Now all I'm feeling within is pure toxicity.
Queues are instant here but it still takes about a minute for the match to start, just like PvP.
50 tokens for getting eliminated, 100 for clearing first round, another 150 for clearing second, and another 200 for clearing third and winning. That's with 24 though.
I can't even launch the game. It keeps saying I need to update, but there is no option to update. Is there something I can do? I already tried to reset it in settings so the game should launch. I'm really confused and aren't very tech saavy.
I have to agree not being able to skip the cutscenes when after you've been eliminated is much ridiculous

Logging in for first time since patch today, Not sure how to play it yet. By the looks of the video, it should offer epic gear as a reward :)

I'm not sure it should automatically be giving you an option too update or auto updating in that sense. I'm on a console myself.
I've gotten all I want from this event. I like the concept. I hate the netcode phantom slapping me.
It's funny to bait bunch of people going to the wrong side on seesaw part in typhoon platform though.
The crystal carrying event is absolute crap, I keep getting killed by obstacles that I've already passed. And it's only in that area, the feedback on the other events is fine.
It could be a fun game, but when I am getting hit by shit that is obviously behind me because your new little game has so much desync that I wish I didnt just pay a new 6 month sub. I love being on the last map and no being able to move for an extra 2 seconds as I watch everyone else run ahead not only getting them a nice advantage in an early start but with how the obstacles lined up they just keep going and I have to stop at each one. Or being hit over and over by something I've already passed. Because I have nothing I can do or change about that I'M PAST THE THING AND STILL GET HIT.
It feels really bad to be ahead on the last section and then lose to someone who teleported ahead because of desync and them being a solid 5 feet ahead of where you're seeing on your screen.
Whoever thought about the nice idea of 100 wins should really quit. If it was 100 times getting to the final round then it's much better.
I have played this game 8 years now and for the first time in ages I can say. This is the most fun I've had in game.
That's not to say other things weren't enjoyable but this is on another level of fun. They did this right by not including ability to grab onto others or bump them.
Then it's just based off your skill to clear the stages.
Otherwise might need a tweak. A few times on crystal carry stage, I had cleared where a pillar pops and it still acted like it hit me. Then a 3rd round lagged starting us for 1minute
It's a little frustrating that of the 10 times I've made it to the finals now, the person who loads in last with a poor connection wins by running straight through things that should have hit them on my screen but I get stunned by something I was over 5 yalms from.
It is fun but could be more fun if the netcode wasn't...yeah.
I think if the 100 "wins" was changed to rounds instead of full matches or this was not a limited time event that would help for sure. But as it stands right now. It's a crapshoot of luck that only people with unstable connections have a surefire shot at.
I'd also suggest not queueing winners with people who have yet to win. I've seen people get the achievement twice now out of 14 finals.
Am tired of being the first to reach the door to the crown and not being allowed to enter and someone from behind me waltzes right in. Nothing more frustrating.
1- I think they should add more maps every time the event comes back or else it's gonna feel too samey.
2- Getting wins for the achievements is gonna be really hard considering everything is scripted and people get really good at this game really fast, I haven't been able to get a single win after 30 games.
3- I'd like if they put the winning/losing or simply just round finishing screen when the round ends since it feels kinda empty compared to the real game.
Besides these points I like the fall guys event a lot and I'd like to see it keep returning.
The same person has won the last four crowns I have done.
Please implement a winner's queue so people can get the win one achievement done.
The poor netcode feels bad, as well as the long periods of black screens whenever you fail a mechanic. Having no SBMM means that a small group of players rack up a lot of wins and some players struggle to pass the first round and get enough for any of the rewards.
No anticheat in the client unlike the actual fall guys is a problem as well since this is a limited time FOMO event that's only going on for another 2 months then gone for who knows how long. People are going to cheat this and will they get caught? probably not since SE is not very good at banning cheaters in PvP and PvE in this game already.
The rewards not working correctly on viera also seems kind of lazy, instead of making rewards that work on all races, they just scale them down to make them look ridiculous.
Overall it's an ok idea but the implementation is not good, and chances are the feedback will not be acted on by SE, they're just going to bring this back once an expansion unchanged as a way to get people to resub and that's it.
This is what every event should be imo, plenty of cool rewards and a fun activity. Guess they put a great effort into it to cause a good impression to those companies.
i'd rather play the actual fall guys than se's implementation.
Also for those who seem to be having long queues. What dc are you from? I'm curious if it's an issue with queues in general or if it's a DC specific thing.
Cuz I did it for about an hour this morning with instant queues all along on Primal.
