When i played ff16 i thought the exact same thing it had the same style of story telling and structure as ff14 just with a slightly more mature tone. But he thinks it's a masterpiece but considers ff14 crap. Even the linear story and quest structure of ff16 is exactly like ff14 and how certain characters are portrayed.
