I think it was more targeted harassment. Renathras was probably just an easy target for Titanman to pick because of how Renathras writes his posts along with not being very well liked amon these forums. Titanman probably thought for those reasons, he could probably get away with it considering that he himself have expressed not liking Renathras.

Funny in light of how many players jumped at the chance to transfer to Dynamis to get the house of their dreams only to give up that house a few months later and transfer to one of the other data centers.

Seems like having a house isn't that important to game play even when one is enjoying the game. If only those worried about losing a house in a game they aren't enjoying would take the step to break the chain tying them to the game.

There are a few out there being run by players as opposed to the "professional" gil selling websites. There are plenty of websites and other third party tools to help facilitate player to player transactions.

I'd still like to see SE go hard after the gil buyers. The sellers won't disappear until the buyers do. It shouldn't be that difficult for SE to identify accounts frequently engaging in suspicious gil transactions and monitor the activity to identify both sides in RMT.

To be fair a lot of responses are essentially the same as telling an angry person to calm down.

If this teaches anyone on these forums anything, it's to try to be somewhat reasonable some of the time at least. Otherwise Titanmen can easily make a forum alt for you and people will be justified in believing it.

He did take a break. He made a big deal about not returning until the next expansion. Yet here we are.

Another poster in another thread put it best - just let him do his weird fan-fics and complaints that the story isn't to his specific liking. Let him return to make FF16 glams and then complain for months about the same thing. Even as a peer when someone acts like this it's not even worth the effort to care enough if he's addicted to complaining and being strange on a message board lol.

I've been playing a long time, and, well, not so much in defence of OP but unhappy players in general, I personally find it pretty hard to imagine FFXIV being much worse than what it is now, especially compared to when I started. I'm having a "rechecking the empty fridge" moment myself and nothing has changed the fact that the game feels horribly mismanaged and boring to play right now. If anything, it only feels more obnoxiously flawed, because you're actively up for playing only to find there's nothing interesting to do.

People take it too seriously. But all jokes aside, PLAY OTHER GAMES. The game has no shortage of content. You just pick what you want to do and ignore the others. It's okay to run out of stuff. There are patches to look forward to for new stuff.

Hm, well - in hindsight I've only been playing FFXIV for close to two years at this point and probably don't see what the long-term players see.

Still, if nothing else, I'll always appreciate the lack of lootboxes!

Respectfully, I have been playing other games most of Endwalker. It is impossible for me to burn out of a game that I am not playing. But that doesn't seem to stop people from misunderstanding the nature of the situation.

I have mixed feelings about the "advice" because theirs some genuine good points about being concerned and having nothing to do in game for around a year, I totally get that telling someone to "take a break bro" doesn't fix peoples frustrations with the game and it's not going to solve anything when the game is going to be put into Maintenance mode, This expansion to me has been so disappointing in so many ways and just being told to "play something else" doesn't fix the issues, because i love this game and want it to be actually fun outside of socialising.

But yeah play something else in the meantime and all that, do other stuff, enjoy life and all that, it's honestly good to take breaks from games you don't enjoy currently, I just wish it wasn't the thing people said when others have valid concerns... the people who complain the most are the most passionate about the game and want to see the game have good changes, at least the majority of people who complain about a lot.

My understanding is that the endeavour to attract new players is also starting to flounder, which would be entirely predictable. The early game experience just isn't fun, and the recent marketing tactics with those tutorial videos that came out a while back and the lack of anything interesting in the Dawntrail trailer doesn't make for a game people are excited to play.

It's normally a good idea to show off the party so people can have an idea of who the characters are, but if you showed me the Scions and told me they were my party I would just play something else. Y'shtola looking like a basic catgirl, Thancred and Urianger looking out of place, the sheer horror factor of cgi G'raha Tia, and then the twins. I struggle to come up with an instance in which a cast has turned me off this badly before, and I imagine people who haven't tried FFXIV in its current state feel similarly.

The characters people would often get excited for are ones like Emet etc. but without their presence there's not much draw to the game now that it has abandoned its setting and more compelling characters in favor of nothing.

The copium/hopium flows strong here....

For the sake of clarification, the login queue has nothing to do with how full the game servers are, it's just the login servers logging people in batches instead of logging each of them individually. Its really not an indicator of the game population going up or down.

But aside from that yeah these posts are getting real boring at this point and aveyond and his friend titanmen should probably just quit and play another game, getting obnoxious tbh

He has in fact several times at one point almost daily posted stuff that reads exactly thar way. Yet when people in the past and sometimes even now have pointed how that comes off his defenders (normally those who agree with everything he posts. Cause they ignore, deny or won't comment on some of the more flavorful stuff) will tell people you shouldn't police complaints or judge how he writes cause he's just you know writing his like opinion, man. And even if you agree with parts of his posts or liked/enjoyed things about the game that he did then you should just want more of it especially in the way he wants it.

You are wrong about how you come across to people. Not many care for your writing or poirtral of the story but yet you want to replace the story with your writing. You don't want the game to be better you just want them to take your cringey edgelord fanfic ideas because you think your fanfics are award winning ideas when they come across as a depressive emo writing Harry Potter or twilight fanfics trying to make something darker then they need to be. Not every story has to be some dark gritty story where all there is is nothing but death this isn't game of thrones where every character needs to die off every other cutscene.

That's honestly the perfect response to this thread. People keep talking about how lackluster things are or say other games do other things better. Offer ideas of what exactly 'high-quality content' is to you. Chances are if its something that has never been in the game before, it might not ever be included, but this dev team does like to try new stuff in each expansion from time to time or try a different spin on old stuff as well. Offer ideas, not just say ambiguous stuff because that just comes off as being someone who's trying to get attention. Unless you have someone paying for you to post here, then you should be old enough to give SE money to keep posting here, so act 18+ and use words to form proper opinions that can be used to start a proper discussion.
