this sum all the thread:

I don't even know.......
I really don't see the point.
All it manages to do is frustrate core players by punishing them for playing too much.
The better solution would be to have varied and interesting mid level quests that add character to the world.
SE should have the optional "rokien" mode in settings where you gain levels half as fast, delevel when dying, can't have more than 2 anima at any given point, and have the message you're greeted with when logging on be "f*** you".

Wow, It stinks in here!

Well things like permanent stat upgrades could potentially ruin a character forever. It's a comunity game, you can't have something that permanent less you risk completley throwing the game out of ballence and frustrating tons of players.
If it is a reward, it would have to be something substantial while also not being completly broken. I just think there are better ways around this. Things that don't require extremely delicate stat balancing.
If as mentioned before you feel like mid level content is getting obsolete due to fast leveling why didnt you propose the "toggle" of level cap on a dungeon or what not (while the instance is available as it is now for those who farm them for seals or for fun). bonus doing it that hard-cap way would be an achievement or something of that significance.
Also why bonus on stats or anything since you like to level and leveling longer would satisfy you for longer time and that is reward enough. So you get me to think that you want in the pretence of a more suited to you leveling situation to have advantage over those who are leveling in the common way and or have already leveled all their jobs. what should ppl with 7/7 50lvl characters do delete and start over? or QQ permanently?
If you want to level slower, do not play as much... you have that option to play that way if you choose.
Just because you say 'give the option to turn it off' does not validate your suggestion.
wth, first the delevel thread now this. what is wrong with you people!?
Why would anyone want to purposely slow down their leveling, when they don't have to? That makes no sense at all to me.
Haha..
The operator wants to fight monsters, and he wants to enjoy mid content. He belives he is leveling to fast, so he miss the content.
Youre advice was to not play as much? But what if he enjoy fighting alot of monsters?
Isnt we supose to enjoy fighting monsters in this game? Maybe not, maybe we just want to end-game :(
I still think your comment was stupid!
Get a mule and level together, shared xp slows it down. xp penalty for dying, i'm in support of, including loss of level. It's not that much, but it's incentive not to die so much, and it gives you the opportunity to grind xp to get a buffer into level, and at 50 you can go back and get xp so you don't delevel.
Okay so.
Rather than implement a thing that punishes you for playing too much, makes levelling harder, is aggravating and not fun and goes as far as incentivizing someone to use it by giving added anything in regards to normal levelling (which will lead to people suffering peer pressure to level in this manner to be 'the best' which in turn will be contributing to making the game's community an overall worse place).
Why not just add an option to turn off earning XP at ALL? There is pretty much no reason to ever use that, but it could be theoretically easy to implement (adding a -300% to earned XP, I think it's theoretically workable). Then if you feel like lagging behind the rest of your party, just turn off your XP gains at all.
tl;dr: This idea is retarded, stupid and idiotic. But there is a simpler solution to acquire the same feeling with easier implementation.
They removed fatigue for a reason.
crap, I thought for sure anima from hamlets had been the change that pushed you over the edge.
I don't really see the purpose of fatigue. even if it's an option. it defeats the purpose of 'rested' XP as well. what happens if you have rested XP and fatigue activates? it clashes.
and why do you want to level slower? I've been moving pretty slowly in my levels, i played for roughly 10 hours last weekends and got maybe 10 levels on my CNJ. i ran around, i quested, i killed some NMs on my pug when i ran into them. enjoy the scenery. plenty of ways to slow down level and enjoy the game without some odd mechanic that doesnt' make a whole lot of sense.
i equate this with making a gear damage toggle. why? everyone would just turn it off because 99% of people find it annoying when their crap breaks and they have to stop, repair it, and then can get back to w/e they were doing.
I did a lot of L40 leves at Bald Knoll, Nine Ivies, and Broken Water. It was perfectly tedious and dreadful. Perfect for you, Rokien. Just level your stuff up there instead of joining Natalan PTs.
hmmm, with two options to choose from (crappy xp, or super fast xp) how many people do you think will choose option 1?
that's right, exactly 0
lets give it up to Rokien for creating yet another completely wasted thread.
Damn, you really are an idiot.
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
the reason folks are asking for slower leveling is because the time spent leveling helps to build community (more than allowing players to hone their skills). Lets be honest though, given the choice absolutely nobody is going to choose slower leveling just for fun.
Very, very true. Unfortunately, since a sizeable chunk of the current population either has everything capped, or at least everything capped that they want to cap, the EXP parties where the community is built are few and far between these days. SE has had to compensate by making it real easy and fast for people to get their stuff levelled up.
They also made an error by caving in to the whining minority of Asperger kids who want to play this multiplayer game by themselves. Thanks to that, even the people who haven't levelled everything yet won't PT, because it's easier to just solo it all.
Ohh a Rokien thread.

When we had fatigue, you all complained, now you all want it back like it was an ex-BF/GF... and I say NAY!
omg..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abE09-tqhoM
I don't see a problem with this, but, I want it on all the time, not till I get x amount of exp, so it's not really Fatigue.
Also, I liked the fatigue system.
I think I have the perfect compromise that would satisfy both the OP and everyone else: merit parties!
Those who like leveling can do it (and get permanent stat bonuses for each class). Those who don't like leveling can focus on other things.
