I don't see anyone being called a liar here.

I was skeptical too about a housing isdue, till the other day. I got my email I think on the 20th, 21st, that my house was up for demo. I was just in there a few days before getting the email, was with a friend getting her input about my ideas for decorating changes. I am in my house at least once a week. Was odd.
You can also get emails from any house you are a resident of.
Along with that, the emails are automated, so you may have canceled it when you entered a few days before, but the email was still scheduled.
The demo timer is in estate timers in game. If it ever shows up, just enter your house.
No it was my house, because I am a resident only on my fc house, personal, and I double checked the ward and plot to make sure it was my personal and I got the message that the auto demo timer was stopped when I ran over to my house after reading the email
Question: does the house demolition only happen if you don't log in at all for 45 days or when you don't go to your own house at all for 45 days?
I think auto demolition is a horribly predatory practice, but it is really funny that first post in this thread lmfao
Please submit it as a bug report with as much detail as you can remember regarding times and dates, and things you generally do after you enter your house.
This time we have a lot of players that are reporting being affected around the same time period so maybe we can get SE to finally look into it.
You are clearly not using the house or spending time with it at all, then you get these mails, also it contradict quite a few things you have earlier mentioned yourself, now please be so kind to deal with the system as it is now, you know the rules, you know the setting, you know how it works... and it is clearly written down what happens if you are not taking time to use your house now and then.
The message is at best a friendly reminder and do you chose to ignore it, it will go poof, end of story.
AHAHAHAHAHAHHAA
Ok, so that aside.
The common problem that I keep hearing over and over again relentlessly is, "I used my house weeks ago, what do you mean it got demo'd?" I think a lot of you have issues with time blindness. The last two people who came here talking about there being a bug..the first one admitted himself that he simply lost track of time and did in fact wait too late to go in. The second talked about having just put in event posters, but the problem there was that there was an event poster both that month and the month previous to that. Which told me that he likely THOUGHT he had went in his house THAT month, but likely had done so the month before with that previous event and that was why he lost it.
A lot of you posting like this legitimately don't go into your houses for weeks at a time. Now whats wrong with that? Weeks are dangerous. It takes 4 weeks to be a month. By the time you're at week 4, it's probably over for you, even with that little additional time they give you after sending the email. What to you feels like only a week or two, can easily already be a month. If you're not sure. Always always always check your /timers Estate tab. There is no excuse for this. I don't want to hear about your email spam folder sabotaging you, check your /timers. That is something you have control of looking at directly to tell you whether or not your house is safe. You have that tool. You may think you go in every X amount of time, but maybe one time you simply forgot. Or maybe you went in somewhere else and later confused that as being the time you went in your house. Whatever the case, always check your /timers. As for OP, classic case of 'Ok I got it, forget everyone else who still wants one'. Hilarious, and mostly expected.
I'm not sure what's worse about these forums, the rampant bullying or the fanboy white knighting.
It's really amazing how nice people are in game, then you come here and it's reddit levels of toxicity.
Staggers the imagination.
Because the game isn’t as nice as people make it out to be; people are just worried in game that their beloved character will get banned because you asked the level 87 WHM to stop spamming cure 1 and do some DPS
And reddit is basically a yes man for this game at this point (except xivdiscussion but it’s a different kettle of fish)
Where is a person who legit cares about the game and hates the directions it’s going meant to doompost
Unfortunately, your writing style and your post history are working against you. The written word in a forum is going to stick with some people much longer than a casual encounter in game will, especially when the written word from the past is so easily searched.
If you can be subject to 'toxic bullying' through having your own posts quoted at you, what does that say about your posting style?
If it's any consolation, though, from years of playing NN cop I can tell you this much: if you talked in-game like you talk here, they wouldn't be nice to you there, either.
Imagine SE fixing their housing system lol any game with a bit of logic would have give a free house that you can change and invite your friend in all you got a the savior of the world as WoL is a dusty inn room or an Island that I am still not very sure why it's even there
You got called out for being hypocritical, that's it. I feel bad that you lost your house but at the end of the day you've advocated for the demo system before and admitted you didn't use your house because you couldn't take 5m to go back to it while you've been online. It's your own fault at that point and I don't think it's toxic pointing out your own hypocrisy and not letting you shove the blame onto something else. I at least wouldn't call it that if people were trying to make me aware of my own contradictions.
Yup. That will about do it. :D https://media.tenor.com/89nySCOc9wEA...tal-kombat.gif
They didnt even lose their house. Theyre posting to complain about being subject to the same demolition rules as everyone else, rules which they themselves advocated for. Moving to a less populated world doesnt mean the rules dont apply to you anymore, it just means that if you DO lose your house it will be easier to get a new one. Maybe not a bigger size, maybe not a prime location, but something somewhere.
I'm with OP here. If you have an active sub then it shouldn't start counting, but once you unsub start giving people the flick.
Not sure people realize but the auto demo is to ensure the plot gets recycled into the active community who actually will use the plot.
What we got is the 1% people using a loophole to own multiple houses, people only keeping a sub and not playing to own a virtual plot as if it matters, a community who continually wants more housing so they can get one and people whining cause of some timer.
I seen the poster above me and got to thinking. The idea would only work if housing went totally instanced. Then it's a reason to keep it due to dub. However, the devs aren't known to really pull the triggers on stuff. Plus I bet they worry about making the small handful of people mad.
We need housing moved to island or make it instanced for both private and fc. That way they can mess with workshop and allow people to build up house to a size they want.
Allow like 200 visitors to the fc plot and private plot for venues
Oh look. One of the people I mentioned responded with a resounding No. Big shocker there
