33 with only 20, if you want your DoH/DoL classes to look unique. Please, minimum 50 plates.

They need a more competent glamour system in general. No reason for a game in 2023 to have limited glamour plates or a limit on how many items you can collect.

A game newly released in 2023, perhaps. But this is a game that's over a decade older than that, and apparently with some poor inventory structure choices at the start of it all.

We'll definitely need more by 7.0 with 2 new jobs incoming.. it would be so awkward if I had to go back to shared looks - literally unplayable as multi-class player

I honestly couldnt care less for dresser slots.
800 slots vs 20 plates is just unacceptable
I could accept the 400 slots, I'm not crazy with glamming everything. I just want to be able to make unique looks for each class.
For a game whose endgame is glamour, this is so unacceptable.

Put the slots up to a 1000, I’m already full! lol it will go down some next week when I can move a lot of it to the armoire, but I still have retainers full of gear. But yes, one plate for class at least, including DOH/DOL, and maybe an extra couple for seasonal glams.

Just pulled all my mog items out of my dresser in preparation for them to go into the armoire on Tuesday. That saved me… 75 slots. lol and I have the rest on a page and a half of retainer inventory. More plates definitely! But more slots to go with them would be nice too.

We just need a skin library like other games have. If I've collected it, I can glam it, but also we need one plate for each class and job. That's a given. I'd say like 10 more than what we have at all times to be safe. You want your stuff to look right and also have that extra one open to mess around with.

The fact that this suggestion only has 41 likes in the OP is weird considering that we'll have 34 jobs in Dawntrail counting the limited ones but only 20 plates at the moment.

Not to mention other issues like how they will keep introducing new glam pieces come the new expansion but we have no place to store them (meaning that we need a glamor log) as well as other options such as tying haircuts and other aesthetician options to plates, fixing portraits so that you don't have to dedicate a single plate for a single portrait of a single job, etc. This goes beyond this thread's suggestion but in the end, we're due for a massive glamor overhaul.

I’m sure it’s not the only thread. But also you can’t like a post unless you’re using the desktop version of the site, which is hard to read on a phone and a pain to switch back and forth. I didn’t even realize you could like a post til I had to edit a typo and realized you have to do that in desktop mode as well! lol

The forums could also do with some improvement it seems. Even so, this thread doesn't have a lot of pages or comments either. I'd have expected way more support tbh.

By the english forum standard, it is a lot. People tend to not use the like function over here. Most of the time when a post go over 50 like, it's either a sick burn, either because someone forwarded the thread on reddit or twitter, and people came to show support. Then people wonder why dev never listen to western audience, when the said audience doesn't use the functionality they said clearly stated using to collect feedback.

And since it's not really a dividing subject, people don't argue without end in this thread.

But yeah, to me, 1 plate per job should be the minimum. (well, I could do with a little less, since I have one glam for all the gatherer and one for all the crafters, but some people don't.)

I'm not sure people know the gravity of this problem. It is already a crisis at this time and it's going to be a lot worse in Dawntrail

We know that they know that we want more glamour space.

Anyway, my personal preference is for more dresser space first, especially if they're not going to overhaul the plate menu to be a text list like gearsets.

That would be a terrible idea. The issue is, in theory, that it's not easy to implement these things because of the usual server load yadda yadda.

So if they suddenly made it possible to have more glamor dresser space or plates by keeping it behind a paywall, it will mean that they always could and chose not to until that point.

We already pay an expansion, a sub and buy plenty of cosmetics on the Mogstation. As players, we should never agree to putting things that should be in the game already behind paywalls.

The glamour dresser should be removed entitely. A perfect model of how to handle glamour already exists in WoW with its transmog system. You acquire a piece of gear and you now have it forever in your wardrobe. SE COULD do the same thing, but they choose not to because yes, it would require some work on the developers part.

I'd much prefer they give us hairstyle previews first - I have one or two hairstyles that I obtained/purchased (mogtome events) that I really didn't like once I saw them on my character.

Or at the very least, have us choose 2 or 3 that we can freely switch between without the aesthetician. I don’t go to a salon to undo a ponytail, don’t see why my character can’t select an up or down version of hair to switch between. lol

IMHO this is one of the (extremely few) areas where WoW is clearly superior to FF XIV. I'd be so happy if this was added. I do understand about coding issues and such although I don't pretend to know the real extent of work required to implement it, but then again, it wasn't in WoW at first, or in the first several expansions, either. So if it can be added to WoW...
