Speculation is fun isn’t it? Well I don’t think it’s pictomancer. Basically the core of pictomancer is just a glorified blue mage. They draw the enemy they fight and use it’s attacks. Now not saying the devs can’t twist it and change it to make it work for ffxiv but I highly doubt it’s pictomancer when blue mage itself (another job that copies magic) is limited.
It’s either Shaman (New original job) or Geomancer. If you look at the picture closely behind the turtles it looks like a compass. Geomancy uses a compass. Look closely. You will see some ancient symbols along with tmnt on it. I think that’s a compass behind them. The turtles standing for Genbu who is a geomancer. So yeah I’m sticking to my guns on this. I might be wrong but hey it’s fun to speculate as always. The theme seems to be nature in the new world so shaman/geomancer fits the theme. Pictomancy doesn’t.
Happy gaming!
Continued: Also if you look at the symbols around the picture it looks to be elemental symbols. A lightning bolt, a snowflake, stars (divination), the sun etc… okay I’m done lol. I feel like everytime I look at this picture I see more and more.
New playable race... Kappa... >.> Then we can all be Turtley enough for the Turtle Club.
I still vaguely recall them saying they planned to not re-use jobs anymore from previous FF games.
I think its corsair or some sort of assasin thats cooler than ninja and some random mage. maybe even something new want to try.
I also think it is Corsair. It would fit into the new world / caribbean feeling.
And Derplander didn't looked like a Paladin in the trailer. Or a Gunbreaker. Or a Redmage... Short sword, no shield, that armor under the coat? Corsair it is.
It's Geomancer. 4 Turtles of different color headbands gives you 4 different elements.

Obviously the t-shirt is a hint to a druid like job where one of the animal forms is a turtle
I thought the gist of that though was they said that they would probably have to in the future because they’re running out of other-FF jobs that would fit in XIV. Not that they never would reuse one ever again… so it could end up being either another FF job or something totally new.
So, who was asking for a sword-based DPS class?
That shirt was pretty blatant. And the scene in the trailer where the WoL is wielding a sword ... confirmed, yes?
Can't wait for the new caster DPS, Turtle, which throws pizza for damage and uses pizza for healing!
Or the Mutant melee DPS job that causes mayhem!
Listen, if the new melee DPS really is a sword-swinging gun-slinging Corsair and wears scouting gear I am contractually obligated to make an Edward Kenway glamour.
we are getting trolled... the job teacher is named splinter... thats it
The turtles are green. And so is Kermit. New job 'Muppet' confirmed.
I honestly have doubts we can tell what the job will be for certain except for our own desperate wants.<unless someone actually didn't put any chips into any boats here>
Me I always was for a Ranger/Scout(ing armor) Jack of all Trades job to go with Ninja.
[But was never for corsair. Mostly for the fact we never had them ever since we could of in HW. Historically] Traps, DoTs, what have you that would fit an adaptable class. (even if it took nods from characters from heavy media who also took such positions. or where Survivalists) or masters at many arms.
It'll be funny if the shirt that YP Showed off this weekend and the next FFest had nothing to do with the Melee.
Though, he has done Authors, Imagery, Direct-adjacent References.
I never paid attention if he has made indirect via feel or color reference.
at least we have an idea of melee(Likely to be scout armor) and one Caster DPS(which unless you'll count any shirt, also opens up something some have asked for in a different form of creation.)
edit:
Add Some Jalapeño for extra acid/spice and I'll take it.
i mean there is that new tmnt movie coming out this year. Maybe he is a fan of the TMNTs.
I think his shirt is teasing only the caster job. That’s what I feel he will reveal at the EU fanfest. I always said I think the 2 jobs will be one being a known job to the series and the other will be a completely new original job. I don’t think the melee job will be called Corsair. Though, it will have characteristics of Corsair I do think it will take on a new original name.
After watching this video. The new melee job seems logical to this.

I also still believe geomancer will be the new magical ranged caster. Guess we will see which will be revealed at EU Fanfest.
Happy Gaming!
I feel like they said it'd be original jobs from now on. Maybe it has nothing to do with the turtles themselves and the job is called "Tormentor" or something and shortens to TMT or TMN.
I'm willing to admit a certain degree of copium on this thought (following my post history will show I am an unabashed Mystic Knight wanter) but as a rule, any time I hear a declarative statement like that, I add a "*Till we change our minds" to the end of it.
Though I believe the specific statement wasn't "we're done making classic classes and will only do our own thing" and more "We've hit a point where we can't really actualize the remaining classic classes, so we're better off making original classes." If they come up with a way to make a Green Mage or a Mystic Knight without infringing on the class fantasies of the other classes, they probably will because it'll build hype, regardless what rules they've set for themselves.

I was already pretty confident in my guess of it being corsair, but this really helps.
I humbly submit this for a femhroth shirt:

I love how we have some pretty solid cases for multiple different jobs, all from one TMNT shirt. That Tortuga point is pretty convincing for Corsair, although I think my money is on Pictomancer.
Also, I thought I heard this expansion was supposed to feature Krile prominently in the story. If so, it seems odd we don't see her in the teaser trailer at all. Was that just a rumour? Am I imagining things?
She'll probably be featured in the part of the trailer we haven't seen yet. We've also been told she'll be getting a job change so she'll likely be the caster job poster girl. If so, we probably won't see her until the final trailer is shown at the JP FanFest (though we might have something from MSQ about her job change by then).
I read one who was involved in creating the TMNT name was Kevin B Eastman. So might be for Beastmaster.
TBH I only see Beastmaster in FFXIV happening in 1 of 2 ways.
1. It's added as the game's 2nd Limited Job and we get to go out and catch monsters pokemon style to fight with.
2. It ends up being more like I think it was the Animist job in the FFTA series that used instuments as their main weapon and had animal themed spells like sheep count, 100% wool, tail wag, etc...
Someone Mentioned Pictomancer and Geomancer.
The 4 Turtles representing the 4 Artists, or the 4 Elements respectively.
I liked their ideas on what the Caster could be.
Melee, I support the idea its Corsair and will share Scouting Gear with Ninja. Im still just trying to think of the weapon...like what, Dual Wielding a Pistol and Dagger or something like that? Or maybe it will be a Swashbuckler? In teh trailer it LOOKed like he had a Pistol, but it could be a sword or a Dagger.
Could he be resting his hand on a beast's collar? Or maybe a weapon? The outfit looks like scouting gear.

I am not sure but T.M.N.T could mean "Time mage next time" and the trailer has derplander tapping his foot and also the track sounds like a ticking clock. I am thinking that :)
I also have a feeling we might see a female Hrothgar on a new job, but that could be just wishful thinking but they did it with Viera on Dancer.
Thinking about it, I kinda want to know what sets that sword apart from the gladiator/Paladin swords. Like I get that the Glad swords skew long, but they do have a number of short swords. If it is Corsair, will they just come paired with a gun as the distinction, like the knives (though pairing up was determined not to be so distinct that they didn't need to excise all knifes from the sword weapon category), or is there something we're not seeing?
