It would seem that the copium virus is contagious and that it is continuing to spread...

Currently I really enjoy raids and trials. I would like to see some sort of scaling dungeon system though, I feel like dungeons are handled very poorly. By scaling dungeons I obviously mean something similar to M+ but without the jank.
The variety of content is great, the biggest issue is that often they have to pick X or Y instead of expanding on everything people have enjoyed. This time we don't have exploration zone like Bozja, last time we didn't have deep dungeon etc.
I really hope they will make more evergreen stuff that's player centric and slightly less of these "do it once and forget it exists".
And now Im sure people dont actually know what this word even is or means anymore.
Its become an overused Dead Meme and a Buzzword
Bingo....not a Hard Concept.
Well developing both a Explore Zone and a Deep Dungeon at the same time, AND making them both long lasting, would be Quite an undertaking.
Im not a dev, I couldn't possibly explain the process, time, or money it would take to produce such content, much less at the same time. To me, it makes sense to do 1 of them, then this would free them up to focus on more then things.
Of course, it would be neat if they had a winning Formula that gives us More to do, and that lasts longer. Nobody would disagree with that.
And well, thats Doomed to happen at some point. Some content has a Longer Shelf Life then others.
Some wont interest and maintain people after a period of time, while others do. Its just natural. And Everybody is different.
Like for me, The Gold Saucer. Once I get what I care about, Im not going back and have no interest until there is a reason. Or Eureka, I got my Weapon & my Ozma Mount, and Im out.
Meanwhile some people like it and find it engaging to do it more then once.
I like getting sprouts to panic by following them with the shadow of my mount when I'm flying at max height.
The best content in the game is Savage and I think it's CRIMINAL that they make it so that you can only get rewards once a week per character, rather than per job.
Ex Trial for me, not to hard to figure out yet satisfying.
I'm just talking about the first time though, farming them get old really fast.
Funnily enough I had a sprout ask me out of the blue in Coerthas Western Highlands yesterday how I made my magitek armour fly (I was hovering in it waiting for a FATE to spawn), and I proceeded to explain about how to unlock flight, so it seems a lot of new players are completely unaware of it.

MSQ without a doubt
1. Housing
2. Catboys
3. Deep Dungeon
Housing, glam & MSQ.
All roads in this game lead to BA
BA is the true endgame
Used to be deep dungeon, but the new one was DOA on Materia and soloing it is tedious thanks to the spongey mobs.
Eureka and Deep Dungeons.
But somehow they made the new Deep Dungeon sluggish and tedious(first 40 floors). Besides the new bosses in there, its probably the worst Deep Dungeon so far. Funny how Palace of the Dead is still the best Deep Dungeon experience, from start to finish. It might be the longest one but also the best one, in both early pace, gradual difficulty, mysticism, and atmosphere feel. Not to mention the 2 last bosses of PotD are still my most memorable ones, in feel of accomplishment and their sense of difficulty. EO Has the mysticism at 81+ and the last 3 bosses makes it interesting but before you get there, its a pure slug and bore fest.
Giga cope. The content you're refering to is super niche. Verminion? Chocobo racing? Majong? These do not appeal the the vast majority of players.
And if you want to talk about social interactions, you don't need FF for that. The fact that FF has a massive content void can not be dismissed with shitty side content nobody actually plays.
The game has MSQ and once completed, it has very little content of substance to keep people around.
If the game only appeals to the vast majority of players, what happens when you're not being the part of the majority?
Shouldn't we push for more options so that the game can appeal to different people as much as possible?
I don't find verminion particularly intersting, but I still hope the dev team can put more effort and love into it for people who enjoy it
Non-Manderville relics. Since their writing became boring, they completely shat on dungeons, under-delivered Variant/Criterion and I don't have the patience for static drama anymore.
I never subbed to play dress-up or partake in their clunky housing system either so that type of content is whatever.
