See, the thing is, this game that was made for "Fantasy" only lets people live their "Fantasies" for so far as the Art style and direction of the game doesn't project the kind of "Fantasy" people want.
If you want that kind of "Fantasy" where you can be a scantily clad woman in a tight dominatrix outfit, there are many games that can fulfill that need. (PWI, AION, TERA, B&S other games with high caliber character creation and armor skin mods, Second Life also works)
Final Fantasy isn't that kind of game, and I'm glad that it follows the "Fantasy" norm but doesn't do it outrageously like TERA or Blade and Soul.
The FF series does fantasy in a way that makes things logically believable that makes you think these things can actually happen, from the mechanical airship designs to it's lore.
maybe not things like jumping 16ft high off buildings and trees and running on water (Blade and soul) Or wearing armor that's beyond impractical that makes you wonder "How the hell does that stay on?" (TERA).

OP if you are just looking for anime to fap to there is more then enough free hentai on the interwebz to accommodate you.

You also certainly did not see my Steampunk Redlight Special outfit (in my defense it was a mashup of random leftover gears I had in inventory at the time). Or my Maelstrom friend's Bondage Pirate or the ever so amazing Subligar Paladin outfit.

XIV sincerely has it's share, hell it has a very large share of 'excessively sexy'. It just tends to lean a bit more towards the 'classy' side (when it does, at times sincerely...) and that also tends to rely on uncommon gear combinations which geeeenerally you only see during mid-range levels when you're using leftover gear

Exactly. I think SE balances the "sexy revealing" and "sexy modest" stuff quite well. I don't want them to feel they have to censor themselves because of what some prudish American might say on their "Christian" blog (this is just an example--not all Americans are prudes, not all prudes are American)

I was, however, kinda cheezed that they put a little skirt on the Lalafell bikini. I'm still hoping for something nicer than the granny panties us Lalafell females hafta wear now.

Why does it always have to be, "go back to WoW. go back to Tera".

I am doing not too far from what Yoshi is doing. Looking outside to other MMOs and see whether it can work in FF14 or not.

Considering that I played K and J Tera...

1. I'm neutral on it because some of the Elin outfits are cute.
2. Elins were designed for a very obvious purpose, this is why it's not a good idea.
3. Popori (Including Elin) are akin to padjals (which are all races but simply blessed) or whatever (I play in too many languages so I end up getting confused), they're basically people of the forest, we have those along with Moogles.

I agree with this. A lot of the JP FF players would have no problem with Elins. They won't be 'offended' because it is generic anime-style race.

Also, Asians are generally older than they look, so this is a widely accepted notion.

You are right on that my friend. However if you like TERA so much, go ahead and play that game. Either you have no understanding of what the FINAL FANTASY universe is, or you are seriously confused. Final Fantasy has some things that make it a final fantasy, can it borrow "elements" and ideas from other games? Yes, but never in the way you suggest.

Give us a playable lizard/werewolf race before we get another blatant fanservice race.

Also the poor subscription management that has existed for over 2 months now still isn't fixed.

Don't forget the pitiful election system that anyone can easily exploit (And can also steal guild savings)

And TERA is run by a so-called "Trustworthy and competent" company when they don't even acknowledge the community's concerns, I'd say FFXIV's team is way ahead of Brian (AION KILLER) Knox's team of NCSoft misfits by leagues when it comes to listening to their community.

Crafting sucs ass well, i dont want to make a popcorn while watching crafting, What is that a new Movie genre? Even though they have speed up things its stil not fun.
The immense of items you need to craft something is crap. You cant just pick one crafting class and level that. No you need diffrent classes aswell just to make parts. bad joke.

Gathering is a joke aswell. Playing a mini game to get crap. Why not just click on the vein and loot everything it has. Abd Se is saying they want this gae to be casual But everything in this game demands so much hours from you if you want do do anything.

And the currency in this game is to laugh about. people sell things for 30 mil Gil? 30 Freaking mill Gil. Talk about Shitloads of items being overpriced ass hell. The currency holds no value at all.

It doesn't matter if TERA is doing well IN THE WEST, if THE WEST is the only place bringing in profits from subscribers and the other 3 versions are failing, then BHS is going to take a huge hit, they're investing more in the west to EME because EME is BHS's subsidiary, BHS loses more money the more it invests in making changes to the western version of the game vs the money they're making from subscribers. It will take years for BHS to start turning a profit, especially when their subsidiary is their only hope when the EU, KR and JP versions failed hard.

EDIT: It has just been announced that TERA KR has went from 13 servers to 4..
K-TERA is closing down a vast majority of their servers, down to only 4, and is including what they are calling a trial free to play server. (which is technically 8 until the f2p servers are deleted) This is all coming with the newest Queen of the Argons patch that should be released sometime later this summer.
