No Pride seasonal event?

Okay so, we apparently have 8.1 million LBGTQA+ players in this game (27 million total players claimed by SE).

Maybe we should have a Pride event, the thing is, only 1 of the 8.1 million LBGTQA+ players seems to think so, on this forum.

Swordbresker is correct, I believe, because all this thread and any post on forcing representation of any kind (race, culture, gender, politics) does is cause psychological reactance, an inborn brain reaction when we feel our freedom is being curtailed or choice limited. I think the OP knows this and that the fastest way to get a group to hate another group is to try to force your beliefs upon them and/or punish others for not agreeing.

This. This is what always said, even my boyfriend said said it. You want people to accept you and like you don´t force them to like you or they will only dislike you. First of not every one will like you and that´s how life is no one on this planet is loved by every one. Secondly if you want people to like you be kind be respectful be a decent human and never ever force them to like you.

And I say it again as I gay my self all I want is to be accepted you don´t need to like me but I want you to treat me like you would treat another human being becuse I'm a human as well but I like dudes. I don´t need flags or parades or event´s I just need to be treated as a human.

I live in Japan (and grew up here), but in general the topic is never a big deal (also same with topics such as abortion) because sexual orientation was never a strictly defined thing until Japan started taking a path towards "westernization" and adopted legal codes from other "developed" countries at that time. A wealthy man was praised when they can sustain many concubines including male ones, and male-male romance was praised to some degree among the samurai (and then cascaded to other groups to a certain degree). The major religions in Japan doesn't have anything to really say about these topics, and anyhow religion has historically been very pragmatic in Japan (people have generally practiced multiple religions - Shinto, Buddhism, Confucianism, and a heavily modified Daoism).

Meanwhile, Christianity is a different deal.

Learning about moral structures / values from different cultures with massively different cultural / historical background is a very good practice, but to say one is better than the other is cause for bad things.

There are still countries where being openly LGBTQIA+ can get you prison time or worse. Go take your crusade to one of those places, your entitled attitude has long since gotten old.

Yes sadly people believe we are becuse crazy hatefully people like this are the ones that gets most attention everywhere. Im gay my self and as I said in my last post the LGBTQ+ community is riddled with shitty humans that basically want the remove freedom of speech becuse their shitty feelings might get hurt. They scream bigot to any one that don´t agree with them. And as I said I seen first hand LGBTQ+ activist calling other gay/trans to take up arms to defend them self against straight people and shot people that don´t love every gay person on the planet.

Its funny you bring that up. A few weeks ago the was a law past in a country that if they find out you will be jailed or sentence to ( cant say the rest here)

In the 8+ years I've played this game, I've participated in lots of Pride seasonal events.

They're held by Free Companies, not Corporate Entities. And frankly I appreciate it is that way.

If they did a pride season event Titan Men would be the first to call them out for "misrepresenting" the community somehow

Third : Why would Eorzea have a Pride Parade? They don't have a Black History month either. No Women's month. And I can answer as to why very easily. Because this is a game, it ain't real, and the world that it employs for the purpose of entertainment is not founded on our world's bullshit. There shouldn't be a Pride Parade because the alphabet squad doesn't exist in Eorzea.
Fourth : Where's the Moogle Parade? The Chocobo decorating Parade? The Cool Mount Parade? Those could be fun.

1: You can't possibly have access to metrics, or any other form of evidence, that could prove this claim.
2: I may be wrong, as have been playing for 18 months at this point and can't honestly remember for certain, but I don't recall anything in the account registration process that asked about sexual orientation.

Basically the whole fiasco ofbthos thread is hardly ever related with LGBTQ, game or any of that matter & moreso insinuating further hostility & sought discord while also bringing out the worst from others (be it for it or not agreeing with it) which furthers the flames on keeping this thread more feed with absurdity.

Which is basically the goal for the so called LGBTQ+ activist. You just have to look on the rings of power where they hired so called LGQBT+ activists to talk about how inclusive the movie was and everything these people did was insulting people and their main goal was to seek discord, bring in hostility. All they did was show how horrible gay/trans people are by insulting fans, insulting every thing people loved about Tolkien. And I could start to see more and more people starting to hate gay and trans people. These type of clowns are trying to drag us down and try to make us look like horrible and shitty.
