If I am up and want to play a game I have a stack of them in my steam library that I haven't mucked with yet (gifts etc). I will just play one of those for a couple of hours.

Seriously though no matter when they do maintenance it will be inconvenient for someone somewhere. Deal with it and make other plans.

Most of NA is sleeping. EU has just gotten up and is likely going about its normal morning routine before it even considers logging in to play a game.

You are correct. From the NA/EU perspective, SE really couldn't have picked a better time. It's going to have a minimal impact.

I imagine the JP, SEA and OCE players are less than happy though. Then again, it's happening during the usual maintenance times so they're used to it and mature enough not to complain about it.

When I went to the lodestone to check the notice and see what the timeframe was, my eyes sort of lazily mushed the topic list together and I read the header as "All Worlds Eternal Maintenance".

1) most people arnt working sunday, this also goes for devs
2) theyre sure as shit not goign to want to do it tuesday, raid starts and the one week delay was also to make it seemless
3) well we have to pick SOME time monday, and no matter what time, someone gets fucked over,
