A vegan playthrough of FF14 is essentially impossible

You're referring to a vegan diet, the OP is referring to a vegan lifestyle (not harming ANY animals). Like pacifism but includes animals too.

OP, you post about so many things like this here. Maybe you are a genuinely hyper-far-left ideologue - such people do exist - instead of a troll. The irony here is that one of the proposals to end world hunger AND reduce greenhouse emissions from farming beef and poultry that is being pushed by the big worldwide political organizations is eating bugs. Something about grasshoppers serving dietary protein needs. And these were the same orgs and people pushing veganisms a few decades ago. Just don't eat any in-game food with meat in it. Vegan problem solved. You say other people are meat-eaters, but I would suspect there are few cannibals among FFXIV's playerbase. The non-cannibals kill Garlean soldiers all the time and aren't morally conflicted. Just pretend the ladybug was "Comin' right at us!" and it's fine.

I give up with these forums, they're clearly useless if People like Titanman can run rampant with countless amounts of obvious bait threads. What are the mods doing? Anything?

No, they are absolutely a troll. This is not their first or only forum account, and I do not believe a word that they say. Actually, it's quite the opposite -- these kinds of threads so predictably parody left-leaning views that whenever I see them I basically assume the person behind the keyboard actually desires the exact opposite of whatever it is they're asking for. For example, the real "hidden joke" of this particular thread is "Ha ha, vegans are so whiny and entitled, they even complain about a fantasy game and want to ruin it for everyone!" They also do threads asking for more racial diversity, or more LGBTQ representation. You can imagine what the unstated point behind those threads is, I'm sure.

Are they a "hyper-far-left ideologue"? No. Do they want you to think that they are? Yes. This is basically the classic dictionary definition of trolling, and they're not even good at it.

I mean we have the level 14 - 18 carrier ladybug and the level 50 Skogs Fru so I see someone potentially being killed by them.

I think the real issue is it's way too easy to set things on fire in FF games. I mean all it takes is the vegan getting hit by 1 fire spell and suddenly they're running around screaming " I SMELL DELICIOUS!" :P
