If I had a house I would do the same thing I did in SWTOR or ESO. I'd decorate it, and use the garden, and that's about it. Can't imagine paying a sub JUST for a house in FFXIV to be honest.

i spent almost as much gil furnishing the house as i did buying the bloody place, as for what i do with it well its my limsa away from limsa, i have npcs to repair my gear attach materia to my gear its got an armoiry a company chest retainer bells aesthetician. when iam not out doin stuff in the world iam usually afk at my house between roulettes my house has everything the major cities has except for a glamour dresser
my house is located at excalibur emypreum ward 2 plot 58
My first house I ever got lead to a sudden surge of leveling ALL the crafting/gathering jobs I barely ever touched in order to be able to make my own decor.
Later on, it was just nice to have a place I could return to that was near a market board, had retainers and vendors, my own orchestrion playlist on auto-play and a farm plot (admittedly I didn't get into that for very long, but to my knowledge it's still locking behind owning a house), and took literally 2 seconds to reach the door after teleporting.
I recently gave my 3rd house up(As in I've owned and then lost/relinquished one 3 times, did not own 3 at a time somehow) as I was barely playing, and felt I was wasting the spot for someone who'd have more use for it.
If I ever feel the urge to own one again, I'll try again.
visiting it, when receive a demolition notice, coz its a dead place.
it's like the only place I spend my time.
Retainers are in there, merchants, gardening, my trophy room, the market board is right out front, it's cheap to teleport to even from space
it's basically my base of operations. Brimming heart houses have a giant hot spring swimming pool for a front yard too with a huge windmill casting a shadow over it so it's a pretty nice place to just /waterfloat and relax a while
I finally got one and am trying my best with what I want to do with the interior of it, since I'm pretty much done with the exterior, besides remodeling the outer house.
I'm not the most creative when it comes to coming up with a theme for my house so its taking me awhile to getting everything set up. xD
Same.
42 million Gil for the lot and easily have that in eastern indoor pond's and verdant partition's.... alone.
(note: I crafted about 2/3rd's of those while slow gathering resources, and running the dungeon that drops ver. part's, and bought the rest when I was ready to end the project.)
There are personals available on Kujata. Right NOW.Quote:
I own a personal small and have an FC medium on Jenova, so this isn't coming from a place of salt or anything (as a disclaimer). However, this is not the case on most servers. There aren't any vacant personals on jenova for instance. When one does open up, it has hundreds of bids on it easily.
"But its the Goblet and the Goblet sucks"
"You said you wanted a house, well there they are, ready to go and no competition"

I don't know I live in a cardboard box at the graveyard in east shroud and I talk to the dead things and pet their skulls, the people who say I'm weird I just chop off their head and hide the body to decompse until it makes great decoration in the future *giggles* I'm playfull lets play a little game i dont know what but im super playfull hyper
I stopped going to bot-infested cities years ago. It's either my personal house or my FC house. My FC mansion is next to a market board so I like to craft there. I put all the useful items like vendors and an aesthetician bell there. Of course I visit my submarine station every day. My personal house is not getting "used" as much now that I have my own fc house, but I'm going to give it different decorations. Speaking of furniture, 800 + 600 furniture slots is incredible for saving inventory space.
Well the Bokos kicked me out of my apartment. Something about "Mortals wouldn't survive seeing the atrocities that happen in there" so I tend to sleep under a bridge in Gridania. When bored or if I'm expecting company I tend to rearrange the rocks. On occasion I flip them over so they tan in the sun evenly.
Roleplay. It's my character's home, so I'll craft or whatever, and if there's a storyline going on (there is, but she hasn't been back to her house because she's elsewhere - but I go in to check my retainers) it gets used that way. Same with the FC house and some rooms. I don't use the rooms of people I don't know, just my own.
When we get the big cardboard box outdoor furnishing, I'll put one out in my yard for you. :)
i just fined mine it fun to make mist 23 12 beh
If I ever get a house, it will be called Camelot. It will be a silly place.
But it will only be a model.
My FC house exists for submersible. I'd like to make it an area where a small FC could reasonably be hanging out - I envision a Glade style counter kitching and dining room on the first floor, a mezzanine for small storage, and the basement divided between a hangout area with a fireplace and a bath room maybe, with my private chambers serving as bedroom and private stufy.
Then I place three items down and this game's utterly garbage housing system finds a new way to disappoint me and I don't touch anything for a month.
Houses*
And they are nothing more than gil despensers in the form of airships and submarines.
I like to use my house as a meetup point.
I have a weekly casual semi-static dedicated to MINE content. We like to hang out together (and hit dummies) while in PF. I also have a chocobo stable for my friends who are still tenants.
Plus when I remember my spouse put a ton of pancakes on every surface, I'll nibble on the free food for roulettes.
...it is also fun to show off my music rolls.
I use mine to craft in and display all my mini tabletops. Sometimes just go in there to listen to the music playing.
I use mine to ERP and for the airship and submarines.
this is my place when not doing projects i rest here and plan here.
I tend to sit in front of the fire and listen to music and craft or decorate. Very peaceful and away form the hustle and bustle ^O^
Stare at it and feel good at how well I decorated the exterior and interior
I just like to redecorate and hang out in mine. I gave it a rainy nighttime atmosphere and I find it peaceful.
However, I bid on a small and underestimated my desire for interior design so now I'm hoping to upgrade to a Medium or Large.
Walk in it once every 45 days to make sure it doesn't get demoed...
I've got a personal cottage, and it's a private retreat, first and foremost- I've fully overhauled the interior three or four times over the years I've had it (I tend to keep my builds until they add enough items I really want to use/think I can do better than what I've done) and the exterior twice, but the main thing all of my builds have in common is that they're designed to be relaxing atmospheres I enjoy looking at and spending a ton of time in. Currently, it's styled like a nature-themed retreat, full of stone, plants, and water features, with a living space in the basement. My house is where I do all of my idling (either inside, or on the lawn) and crafting, it also has the summoning bell I use the most, so I'm there more often than not, and I use it every day.
Outside of me just using the house by myself, it's also sometimes a gathering place for friends coming to visit from other worlds or datacenters, or for a friend or two to come hang out and relax if they want to get away from the main hub cities.
It's... where I keep all my stuff.
Seriously though it's kinda my hub for various adventures and a sort of in-game representation of my personal headcanon for my character. I have NPC's and furniture to do all my day to day stuff like repair and manage retainers as well has having NPCs that sell mats I might need and access to my armoire and guild storage. It has souvenirs from my adventures in the form of crafted decorations with rare mats and/or drops I got as well as my actual bedroom that's plastered with the posters and pictures you get from seasonal quests and adventures.
I like to mess with the decorations every once in a while and when I'm not redesigning I'm hanging out between duties and/or just enjoying walking around and pretending to be my character interacting with the stuff.
I also have a practice dummy in the yard I can refresh my understanding of different jobs rotations on or demonstrate to friends as well as a garden I like to tend for onions and other mats people I know will need.
I decorate, repair, retainers, etc.
It's a shrine to Emet Selch. Well, the basement is also Amaurot themed living space. The top floor is just random stuff.
i spent 140 mil gil on my house
My house exists purely to remind people that I have 50,000,000 gil, and they do not in their peasant little cottages.
Really I just throw the occasional party in it with my FC and their friends, with the odd murder mystery. The FC house is often used as a Gpose studio and most of our FC members choose to afk there instead of in Limsa whern they don't want to be bothered.
I let it rot on dynamis as I play on aether instead.
Its fun.
I only fill the inside of my cottage with things that my retainers bring back from quick missions. It doesn’t look very good.
i mostly just spent time here and there furnishing it and stuff whenever the mood hit, had to scrap the basement since i ran out of slots on the first two floors. mostly jus a vibe spot
have my army of alphas practice the art of summoning for for world domination. other than that gardening which is a bit time consuming
