Kinda goes against the whole "we need to make this feel more like Final Fantasy" thing Yoshida's on.

When i first say war AF i thought it was for Beastmaster.

WAR af is one of the best designed ones in the game.

That could be said with everyone on the forums. They could just take the whole board down if that's the case. let him have his opinion. Maybe it'll fly maybe it won't. Dont stop people from letting them do what they feel they need to do.

WAR AF seems fine. What they should redesign is the BRD AF. They look like a mix of a clown and a pimp. Pimp hat, clown legs since each pant leg is a different color, and the body looks like a dress, lol.

It's still better than in FFXI...

That is a lie and you know it. The AF design is completely out of place, and unless they design the areas they've stated certain jobs to stem from (Monks in Ala Mihgo implies that Ala Mihgo is similar to Asia, which is not what we've been getting before 1.21) is going to mutilate the lore, look at THM as an example. They used necromancy, and now they spam thunder combos.

Also in terms of design, none of the AF really looks as though it's part of Eorzea. MNK, PLD, and DRG especially. AF2 really, really needs to seem like it's part of the world. Nothing in FFXI stood out anywhere near as much as AF does now.

I didn't say anything about changing our current sets at all. Rather, try to make future sets at least seem like they're from Eorzea. The designs are fine, they just do not fit the world at all.

Eorzea is only a continent, it's kind of hard to say it doesn't fit with the design when we've only seen designs from one tiny corner of the world, for all we know it could be the norm style in a eastern (think viking) land.

War AF is bad ass if you like that viking santa clause look I guess.

Face mask seems like can be pulled down in 2.0 so I'm OK with current AF design. It's not the usual FF style WAR image I had in mind but it's good ^^

I see no reason to redesign it. It looks find to me.

It's probably best to get a feel for what the rest of the community wants before starting an actual petition. Seems like the vast majority is ok with the current design.

Though we have also seen the Garleans, who actually have a large standing in the world. They're not too different from Eorzea, seeing Cid and a few other crucial NPCs. Even then, a lot of what's being talked about is within Eorzea. Monks are Ala Mihgo. Paladins are the elite of the Sultansworn, based in Ul'dah. Dragoons are Dravania/Ishgard, etc. The only ones without a specific origin are Bard, Black Mage, White Mage, and Warrior. Funny enough, I don't mind them as much as I do the other three, in terms of aesthetics. They are not fitting into their origins, at all. At least Dragoon and Paladin aren't. Monk can go either way.

The Warrior AF is from the Hellsguard clan who live in mountainous regions. I think it looks cool. It has that old Himalayan Sherpa feel to it. I like the reimagining of the Warrior in XIV. Certainly better than the bondage barbarian from XI.

BRD AF looks wonderful on anyone who isn't a Male Midlander or a Male Elezen. Male Elezens look terrible in everything though. Why do they still exist? D:

Yeah I agree, awhile back I read somewhere how armor on your head can be toggled like pulling the hood of a cowl down or flipping a visor on a helmet up and down and I think war af head with visor down could look grimly.

I'm going to have to second this. It's fine for girls but it's the worst designed AF on guys. It's the only AF that badly needs redesigning.
