casual queue seems more balanced than ranked

feast was already hard to carry, but you could carry more there than in cc, now you are only 20% of the team, you will lose more even if you perform very well, depends on your team too much, resulting in a ranked grind even more so than in feast

Yes, there is such a thing. But you do not lose anything, and the battle, if you lose it, does not reduce your rank. And it's still a great chance to learn. What is happening in the ranked game now is not only huge gaps between groups, but also complete randomness. Many come there without experience, just to see what it is, and this leads to losses, even if you have a couple more experienced people on the team. I don’t know what can be done about it, but something needs to be done, because at the moment the system does not attract, but rather repels and discourages any desire to participate in this.

The sooner people realize that this is a pointless grind for dubious rewards, the sooner the arenas will empty. And it will happen pretty quickly. Ranked is already dead.

And there must be some kind of threshold in order to exclude at least partially this stupid running around and leveling at the expense of other people's losses. Not to mention the faceless trolls who just showed up to ruin the match.

If everything is random, then the number of losses for which a star is removed should be increased to 3 or 5. Because it is simply unbearable, you go through many matches to take next tier and constantly downgrade.

I guess it depends of the DC. Ranked games are rarely a wipe under 2min on mine. Is it balanced? No, the matchmaking system is still struggling and dented at times. But I get a lot more casual games that are just wasting everybody's time in comparison.

Sorry, I'm not always good with translation. I meant dead by their idea. Or rather, lost it. Because they are the same casual games, only more chaotic and dumb. Pop-ups happen often on my DC, but it's not often that you get a good game. Not in the sense of losing / winning, but in the sense of the work of your party or the opponent's party.

In casual games, there were matches that made me really give my all and the players that I was even afraid of. But I don't see that in the rankings, at least bronze/gold. I'm unlikely to rise higher because of the system. But losing, not because the opponent was really cool, but just because the enemy focused on the right targets when you had people in your group, attacking everything and just leaving the crystal when it rolls back to the middle, it's boring and sad.

Bronze/gold is no different than casual, the only difference is that you don't really stumble on brand fresh new players that are having their first time.

The skill ramps up in plat, and dramatically in diam and crystal after. Doesn't mean you won't get clown games though, those happen on a regular basis, but the skill level is just way more deadly and people will punish you for the smallest mistakes.

I don't know how it is in your data center, in ours I regularly meet these platinum, diamond and crystal players in casual. They are really fun to play with or against. I know them all by name, but I'm unlikely to get there in the ranked, that's the problem. As for punishments, it's still just a game.

If you're competent and consistent you will get to crystal every season, guaranteed. The only thing that could stop it from happening is a lack of available games to play. It may take a lot of games, and there are things you can do to mitigate the difficulty of dealing with particularly bad players on your team, but if you are competent and consistent you *will* make it to crystal.

Well, I'll just see what happens next. If I end up getting fed up with this adventure, then so be it.

The biggest thing with ranking is maintaining a positive mindset. Lots of people forget they are actually winning more than they are losing.

heres a thought, maybe its because diamond and crystal frame rewards are ugly vs the nice Black and platinum frame rewards?

I actually like Diamonds frame kit more than crystal, but I wish we had a size slider for the elements of it.

Top 100 and 30 frames and stuff are hilariously ugly too.

Gods i miss the days when one was able to carry... especially as a healer. Nowadays healers are just green dps.
