RELIC artifact weapons?

How about we start calling it Relic 1.0, to express our wishes for a REAL Relic 2.0.....in 2.0 :3

In FFXI yes, but this is a different game. SE are calling them relic weapons, therefore they are relic weapons. -_-

Bad choice of name, in my opinion. Many people think to XI's Relics, a different thing from AF Weapon in XIV. It's only a matter of name... I don't care. :)

This isn't even close to a relic weapon- Relic are epic and very rarely Obtained, I call this thing Artifact... fairly easy to obtained and doesn't consume your a whole year process- at the speed of getting all artifact weapon- it seems fair enough. Fail on you for being mad at a name SE gave to something. My guess is you didn't know SE called it Relic, and only thought people did. Now that you know, you are trying to reason something together.

Anyways. They are the hardest thing to get as of now, and they will be able to be upgraded later on. You seem to think this is FFXI, and fail to understand the dev team is trying to give us some cool items before the push to 2.0.

the meaning of relic is technically rare and uniquely obtained and hard to obtained.
So far getting 3 seal from each area is easy....----- getting the tool crafted is easy if you ranked up your jobs --- ranking up craft used to be easy, now it's even more easier.... especially how easy they made crafting now---- hqing is a piece of cake now.... double melding is easy if you have 1-10 item to meld. These should only be called gimp Artifact just like the gimp artifact gear we have. Now if your talking about relic- it should be collecting rare item's that are obtained from rare monster that are RARE not re pop or Spam able dungeons. the Spam able Content is a dumb and easy way to obtain RELICS.

I'am saying these weapon should be called ARTIFACT WEAPON only.

The difficulty of it is gimp as is.

Interestingly, the "relic" weapons are only referred to as such in the 'localized' versions of the text, whereas the original Japanese text refers to them as either 古の武器 "ancient" weapons or "job specific" weapons ジョブ専用武器. But the FFXI relic weapons were called レリックウェポン relic weapon. Hmmm....

I believe these weapons will upgrade further in the future as well; who's not to say they put in a quest that takes 6-18 months to complete later when the game is at its final cap to make them truly synonymous with 11's Relic's.
