These races for world first always make me smile a bit because I used to partake in those races a long time ago in WOW and I came to the conclusion only people who compete in the race actually care about it.

It's interesting to me how many people try to act like screaming "GIT GUD!" in someone's face is actually helpful advice.
Sad and disappointing but interesting in a morbid sense.
Meanwhile other groups are freaking out because they stuck on P8S P2...
Some left, some disbanded... Truly, a E8S 2.0 :)
The mechanic spam sequences like those present in P8S tend to get smoothed out a lot as time goes on due to progressively more braindead positioning logic being discovered, so I don't think it's going to remain as rough as it is presently.
Lets be real for a second here Jamie. You have been given MUCH more specific advice in previous "____ is too difficult" threads then simply "GIT GUD!". People gave class specific advice relative to whatever fight you were complaining about, and a few even went to the effort of analyzing your specific play to give you specific responses about where you were doing well and where you were forgetting or ignoring parts of your toolkit that would lead to better results. Your seeming unwillingness to take advice and inability to recognize that you are part of the problem - those are your biggest issues. Not how mean some members of the community are, or how lame "GIT GUD!" is as advice. And im not even disagreeing with you here. Some parts of the community suck(this is true of literally every online community, we arent immune), and "Git GUD" isnt advice its a taunt - and a lame one at that.
Oh, but why am i responding to you anyway? As you keep repeating, you dont care. And besides, you probly have me on ignore already.
To the OP: Congrats to everyone who got(or still gets) the week one clear, looks tough.
That's great, I will sleep better now knowing this massive piece of information.
Oh wait it has no impact at all and I really dont care.
People gave you a lot of really good advice in your older threads.
Detailed posts about how to utilize PF best to get the necessary practice, how to filter people and make it easier for you and ultimately get the kill, 3rd party resources on how to find more like-minded people you can raid with, they gave you advice on pretty much everything that concerns raiding tailored to you personally, to your class and the fight you were practicing.
But your reactions were dismissive, you brushed it off by calling them liars and that PF doesn't work that way and it's simply impossible to find people that can clear, you called them toxic for giving you specific tips for your class and you wanted something to be taken away from people who enjoy it because you didn't get what you wanted and eventually they gave up. And then you went into multiple threads about raiding or the rewards and posted things like "Raiders are spoiled brats" - while calling everyone else rude.
You could have gotten every help you needed and ultimately the rewards you're after. But you ruined it for yourself by lashing out at the very people who tried to help you time after time and now you have a reputation as a bitter and dismissive person that ignores advice, twists words into something completely different and playing the victim while conventiently forgetting all the insults and rude comments you made. And now nobody here wants to help you anymore.
And you have nobody but yourself to blame, Jamie.
Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
On topic: I'm glad this tier took longer to clear again. From what I've heard it's an extra tough nut to crack week 1 because the dps checks of p8s are incredibly tight to the point that some people considered switching class to make it slightly less demanding on everyone. While I don't think it's good that comp plays a role I'm glad there's more pressure for rDPS in general because I'm tired of being able to clear with multiple deaths the moment you're above min ilvl. There should be a clear incentive to push dps and staying alive.
Gratz to them. Now they can finally catch some sleep.
What place did TPS landed? And what about Arthars and Iilya (not sure I spelled that correctly), don't know the names of the groups they are in.
You see people like that in every community for games with any sort of challenge. They want to complete X content but don't want to put any kind of effort into it, so they get salty and lash out, blaming everyone and everything but themselves. They disregard any helpful advice because if they took it in they would actually have to try. Needless to say this also makes them pretty insufferable to be around, causing friction with groups they join, which of course they write off as "toxic players" instead of reflecting on themselves at all.
It's a waste of time to reply to them, they'll spend the rest of their life with their fingers in their ears living in their own reality. These are the same people you meet in RL who always have some friend drama going on and complain how everyone is out to get them.
I wouldn't mind having a video of the P8s clear just because the visuals look really neat in that image.
Also, i hope one day we get back to full Raid dungeons with trash mobs and everything, because i miss those days, the current design philosophy of just having a single stage arena that you zone into is kinda sad. :(
Yeah, i know all of this. Theres a saying for it. "If every group you are a part of has issues, the problem isnt everyone else." I harbor no illusion that im changing Jamie's mind. I usually ignore their posts since its usually the same. But sometimes i do reply, not so much for them but for anyone new who might be reading along and has maybe had bad luck with groups and is starting to think the things Jamie says. A string of bad groups on some new hard content, for someone with less experience they might start to think these things. So a gentle reminder now and again how much help is out there... it doesnt feel like completely wasted effort anyway. Its the same reason i sometimes encourage people to skim the Tales thread. Yeah, you see that negativity(it IS a vent thread). But you also see people sharing good stories, people learning from others mistakes, and people trying to solve issues and help each other out too. Its all there.
