Patch 1.22b coming out on 6th Jun~!

Interesting that it's launching during E3... Maybe whatever Yoshi announces there will be related? (New 7th Umbral Era live content? The Meteor-related stronghold?)

1. NA covers 4 Time-Zones? Really? Oh my god...

First of all.. NA covers 7! Time-Zones ( MST and PST sharing the same Time so you can say its 6 different Times. ) and not 4.
I would guess people would know their own Country. EU covers 4 Timeszone only and by that, the Time-Zones doesnt matter at all. The People which play at certain Times matters.

2. No Update before 3:00 PM on the East-Coast?

Um.. you know that the "East-Coast" is not the first Time-Zone of the States, right?

You totally missunderstand the meaning of "getting screwed". You prolly dont have a Job, or you are someone who still goes to School. You know people work in different Shifts? All around the Globe? So do you really think the "Time-Zone" matters?

I can tell you that every maintenance screws me over, even if im in EU, guess why?! Because Night-Time is the only Time i actually can play mainly, due my Job etc. And that is what happns to a lot of the EU-Players, since we WORK during day, or spend Time with out Family and what not.

So question back... why does it screw over NA again? If its between lets say 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm, then i wouldnt care at all, since thats a normal Work-Shift in the EU, or the Time we actually tend to spend time with our Family. No Idea why i would play during that Time.. no Real-Lifers anyone?

It doesnt matter at all, which Time-Zone you are living in. Maintenance will always screw certain people over, some wont care and some are happy about the Times. It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find the "best Time" for everyone.

MST doesn't share PST.

dafuq. I live in Colorado. Everytime a patch comes and is announced on pacific time, I have to add one hour and it's right. Maybe Arizona doesn't have DST or something (so that PDT=MST)?

(It's 9:53 AM in CO atm)

Arizona is an exception, not the rule.

ETA: IIRC Arizona doesn't follow DST, so their time is the same as PST during the spring/summer months.

Oh i see where that came from.

Arizona is MST too, BUT it doesnt have Summertime unlike CO. In Winter Arizona and CO share the same Time.. its from 11.03 to 04.11 where the Time is different and Arizon fits PST, due the change to Summertime.

So Arizona ( MST ) has its own Timezone, kind of.

Arizona doesn't change their clocks, therefore, they switch timezones.

My point is that MST and PST are not the same.

Arizona doesn't observe daylight savings time. Their time alternates between PST and MST based on whenever everyone around it changes. MST IS a time zone for every other state in that region apart from Arizona (i.e. Colorado)

Wow, Somebodys Butt hurt. The Convo is refering to prime time play hours, not your off-prime time.

Currently it 9:14 in Arizona ( which is MST ) and 9:14 in PST-Zone. How is that not the same Time? and between 04.11. and 11.03 Arizona shares the same Time as the rest of MST. What is so hard to understand? CO, Kansas, Utah and the rest of MST is currently called "MDT", since Summertime and its currently 10:14.

Hell i'm not even complaining. I play far less time then most of you. My argument is with Ppl saying
EU's allways are cut of during prime time. I certainly play less then Mr. I'm not Butthurt all classes level
50 so I'm gonna complain to the one guy here that really could careless about his opinion but has a better

Nice to see a new patch coming out so soo..... /em dodges as a lamp flies by.... /em slowly backs out of the thread.

It isn't that I can't stop playing for a six-hour period. I hardly ever get on the game anymore during the weekends.

My personal gripe about the constant 2PM maintenance is that I come home from the university at about 12 PM, which gives me only two hours to play. Two hours isn't enough time to get anything done. Once maintenance hits, I get to just sit around. My friends all work or have school for longer periods of time, my family has become too depressing to be around anymore, and I'm still struggling to find a job that will even give me an interview.

I don't really care about inflicting my personal time-slot preferences on the whole world of FFXIV players, I just want to express to SE that a flexible rotation of maintenance schedules can't hurt. If they did some maintenance schedules at earlier or even later times, I feel it would keep a lot more people from bitching.

ouch just noticed the maintenance time. 5pm-11pm EST .... Why the heck is it so long for a lettered patch. 1.20 maintenance wasn't even that long.

maybe because of the content that was delayed into a letter patch from a major patch called 1.22

Maintenance is 3:00 PM to 9 PM my time in mountain. I get home from 9 hours of work at 2:45 PM and go to bed at 9:00 PM. :P

The roadmap is more accurate as it was recently updated to reflect their delays and changes of plan
