Back when I started I joined Immortal flames purely because I had to go to Uldah alot anyway as I started as Paladin.
Months later out of boredom I switched to Maelstrom & Twin Adders to cap the ranks.
Squadrons made me stay in Twin Adders because I like the NPCs I got right now.

All in all I never put much thought into it. After the EW MSQ I‘d actually like to get an option to quit them all together though.

Ul'dah. Because I like deserts.

Conveniently adjacent to aetheryte plaza, and not actively racist against Duskwights.

Shame, tho. Since you basically always get free airship travel to Ul'dah, either of the other two are probably more sensible options for travel purposes, once you have access to their travel tickets, anyway.
